I hate quoting this line, i do my absolute best to avoid it whenever I am on a forum BUT there have been at least a few hundred threads with very much the same subject, wouldnt it be easier to just go search some out?
Besides being easier its also less messy. Any topic about comparing two such popular games will only likely result in the most mixed opinions you can ever hope to come across
Well one game's sequelsalienateda few players but is still the number one Multiplayer game today: HALO
The other made a sequel that alienated a god awful amount of players with it's crappy and bugged online: Gears.
I'd have to choose Halo, I don't even play it I play CoD WaW.
One thing about Gears I always thought was odd. In gears you can't run worth a damn but you can do diving forward rolls and side to side rolls from cover to cover like a russian gymnast.
Online - I have no ideea 'cause I don't play online
Story - I think Halo's is better ( that don't make it good, but it's better IMO )
Campaign - Gears all the way ... Halo just seems really childish, the enemies look absolutely non threatening and it's very very easy and kinda short ...
Online : Halo, of course. It's one of the best online FPS with the COD series in my opinion Story : I think Gears of War is better on this point. Very very nice campaigns... Overall : I will choose Halo because i like online gaming more than campaigns ;)
