This updates forcast calls for light increase in population and chance of an ENORMOUS shower of lag switchers and cheaters. This new update is bringing a warm air current that makes it so cheaters who had topped ranking will feel the need to go back to cheat more to get theri EXP lvl100. This update has little chance of going right, but eventually that sun will shine through bringing the game into a calmer summer season.
yes, i still play it just not as much. but i will play it abunch more wen the update/maps come out. and its not just a new ranking system its going 2 fix whatever glithes the last one dident. the maps look awsome. so anyone whos a big GOW fan like me and your thinkin of not playin anymore. PLAY
Multiplayer is not GoW2's strongpoint. They should have made horde mode the main multiplayer and took advantage of the good co-op system instead of trying to turn the poor insta-gib factory game intoa competitive play safe title. I just don't think Gears will ever be GEARED (see what I did there?) for multiplayer properly.
im not sure if i'll be playing it as much as i did when it first came out. i've been spending most of my time playing the first fear and the files, along with world at war, now that i have the new maps i think im going to be playing that alot now. but sure i'll check out the update.. not like anything has changed, i became a gold bar my first few days owning the game :)
After the update I will give gears one more chance. If i have half as much fun as I did with gears 1 I'll keep it but if I still dont like it it's going to ebay

Except the update is assumed to have addressed lagswitching/standbying/host bridging. We won't know how effective it is until we try it, though.
I'll see. The game is horribly inconsistent at the moment, so maybe this update could help in any way possible...
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. EPIC made one of the best games ever IMO with GoW and one of the worst with GoW2. As much as I would like to love playing gears 2 I just can't. It's such a horrible game. I'm disappointed in you EPIC

Agree 100%. I went back to Gears 1 about 6 weeks ago and haven't looked back. Gears 2 is a mess. Lag, terrible host advantage, "cartoonish" graphics vs Gears 1, glitches, slow gamepace, inaccurate weapons, noobified torque bow, weakened sniper, and the stun grenades - the FREAKIN' STUN GRENADES ruin just about every match I play. I just couldn't take it any more. I'll check out Gears 2 after the update, but I'm about 99% sure I'll be back on Gears 1 that very night.

Yeah, I'm glad that at least a few people can open their eyes wide enough to see that Gears 2 is nothing compared to the original
