wow I cant believe I spent $60 on this crap I rather have gotton 50 cent game. I cant belive there are this many glitches in one game. I played it trying to get some achevements going to the 1999 rounds and seriusly and then I log on today and bam everything got reset. Glitch after glitch after glitch. I cant belive they sold me this and all you fanboys dont deffend this game.

cause I thought id get on and play the last level and get some kills for the seriously achevement but it glitched again suprise and all my stats are reset and everything is gone.

Its a shame really, the single-player in Gears of War 2 was absolutely amazing but the multiplayer was so glitchy and yet it sold so much and EPIC has the nerve to not acknowledge any of the problems with Gears of War 2 or release a patch, they are just becomeing lazy with their game testing apparently.
Yeah there are quite a lot of glitches but usually i don't care the only one that i hate is when i have infinite ammo and can't hit people i also saw someone last night chainsaw with a torque bow.:|
i get where your coming from its frustrating to know that the game is dope but it cant be played due to its glitches. I always get tired of waiting for matchups in multiplayer and the glitches that come with it, but when it does work its one of the best games i've played on live.
Well first off IMO the singleplayer was well worth the price alone. Best single player experience Ive had in a long time. The multi player is terrible at times and pretty good at other times. Sad part is it P2P which means idiots with Lag Boxes ruin it for every one else. Lucklily its not always an occurence although I really think GOW2 needs to release a 4 vs 4 patch or remove P2P and make it dedicated servers. Thats why it takes so long to find players EPIC really should not have changed the 4 vs 4 without dedicated servers.

I do agree with you overall though, and I'm the biggest fan of Gears of War, but Gears 2 multiplayer is so laughable, I've NEVER played a game that's this damn buggy...it's ridiculous. And the fanboys defending them really makes them out to be the dumbo who's completely oblivious to the fact that they sold this game and it's more like a beta than an actual retail copy..sickens me!

This is exactly what I mean Epic doesnt admit it and when you post about it on there forum you get banned. Also how can they release new maps when a patch hasnt been release or mentioned?
The only thing that makes me mad is shotty sheild glitch that is the only thing i ever see getting used. Other then that its really not that bad at all.
You mean "repertoire". Sure the Gears 2 multiplayer is extremely glitchy, but it doesn't take too much from the game for me, as the game's superior features (singleplayer and Horde) are more than enough for me. The matchmaking system is so bad that I haven't even been able enough online matches to really experience any issues with glitches, so my complaints about the game's multiplayer pertain more to that than glitches. I wouldn't say it's the glitchiest game EVER, though.

And I think that the type of glitches THQ allows in their games are mostly graphical, eg your car vanishing while you are driving it. Epic seems to prefer exploits in their games that allow people to gain unfair advantages. This is because EPIC SUCKS.

True about the multiplayer and yes most glitches were graphical but I only rented it and did not play it much but the thing froze on me about every session I sat down to play it, and by froze I mean more like locked up I had to restart the Xbox every time. .
There are plenty of games that are worse. I didn't really like the game but I still think its pretty good and I understand why loads of people loved it
I was going to say just wait for these people with Marcus Fenix or The Cog ensignia avatars to come in and defend this game to the death. Oh well it seems the cog was faster this time and got to this thread before me lololol! Anyways I must 100% agree with the thread starter. Gears of War in its entirety is a terrible shooter. It doesnt help that the controls are unresponsive but there is massive hit detection issues far worse than COD4. Then there is the amazing lag and gameplay glitches in both campaign and adversarial modes. I mean I have a hardcore Gears player on my b/list and he admits to the bullturd ridiculous glitches that happen but he will still say at the end of the day this game is great. Sorry but I live by the logic, Gears of war quite simply sucks. I am not stupid but in any shooter I play if I happen to walk up to a person with a shotgun point blank range and fire...he should be dead no questions asked. In Gears of War 1 and 2 it is a matter of luck if your shotgun decides to work at point blank range. No wait you have to play a reloading mini game for guns to work. Give me a break people...

As far as the people that complain about matchmaking and waiting, get four friends together and then the wait is under two minutes. If you are alone and want to play mutliplayer, play private and play against bots. Gears has always been about team work and using tactics to win, so IMO the first ranked system was a failure because you could not play with your friends and had to play with random jokers like the TC.

yes I did use the glitch cause the other team was using it and got frustrating so I ended up using it. Why should we have to settle for playing against bots when we payed $60 to play against other people and have funm but no we payed $60 for a short but good campaign.
