I decided to throw in gears since they fixed the VGA wash out problem, and though i haven't played it in a while it's still in perfect condition (not a scratch or smudge on the disc... but when i slapped it in the 360 it said i needed to put it in a 360 to play it???? umm yeah unless my 360 turned into a PS3 over night i'm pretty sure that i did that... anyone else have this error.. (BTW before you ask, yes it is an original, M$ hasn't drivin me back to Piracy just yet)

There's your problem right there. You decided to throw it in! Tsk, tsk, tsk...

Seriously though, I suggest you just keep trying and if it won't work, it might be time to replace the disc. I'm pretty sure the store you bought it from should be able to give you a new one, since the disc isn't damaged. If not, you can always use MS's replacement program.

I wouldn't know... I haven't put this game in the 360 in months. Overrated as all hell.

It happened to me before, but that was becuase i knocked my 360 over while playing, and then i got a gigantic circular scratch on it. From then on i would get hte error.

All i did was run it through my disk doctor and it was fine.

But since you said yours was in good condition, i dont know what it might be. Try buffing it with a cloth or something first.

check your other games and see if your 360 can read them if they cant then your gonna have to get a new 360 because i had the same problem with my 360, it couldn't read any of my disks because the laser that reads them got weak.

every other game works, I tried wiping it with a microfiber cloth, still the same result .. may pick up some cd polish on the way home after work.. but there isn't a scratch on it so i don't think it'll help.. and i don't think i can return it.. i got it from play-asia on emergence day, while i was in Japan and i think they have a no return policy.. it's this kinda crap that makes me think that maybe some people do back up their games for legit reasons.. then common sense kicks in..

This happened to one of my games, then spread to the others. Had to replace the system. Try the disk in another 360 and see what happens.

Does a white screen pop up with "This is disc goes in a 360" message in a bunch of different languages? If so, just keep trying over and over. It happened to me with SC: DA.

This happened to my gears, and it confused the hell out of me and then i saw i tiny crack at the center of the disc. I dont know how this happened, seeing as the game spent most of its time in the console (mostly off, i work full time) and i take very good care of all discs esp if its my favorite game. I think even with a crack like that you can send it to the ms disc replacement program and get a new one for $20....on the other hand your console could be like terribleexcuseforaband818's console
