GEoW Multi ruined?

I recently came back to playing Gears of War multiplayer and I can honestly saw that it is a terrible experience for me now. People kept on doing a weird chainsaw glitch on me where I would instantly blow up as soon as I killed a guy. I played about 3 games and there was so many glitchers. Also, has the community got worse? I was playing a 4 vs. 3 (me being one of the guys making 3) and the other team kept on saying how much we suck. Now, I don't mind trash talk once in awhile, but this was happening every game. I'm not trying to troll or say Gears of War is a bad game, but the multiplayer used to be good and now it's just turned out to be so bad for me. Any one else feeling the sae way?

Hey man, i know what you are talking about.  All those things you mentioned are EXTREAMLY annoying.  But on the other hand, not all games are like that.  I am still able to find games where glitchers get booted and people behave like normal mature human beings.  If I find myself in a match like you described, I just leave and move on to another one, even if the parameters of the game are not my favorite.  I would rather deal with some strange weapons swap than a team full of a**holes.  So keep your head up, and if you find yourself in a crappy game, take a break for 15 minutes if there are no oither games available right away and try again.  I guarantee you you will find a good match sooner than you think.  Its not all doom and gloom.

It truthfully depends on when you play if you play anytime before 9:30 pm Eastern time your gonna run into a bunch of kids that should probably be doing homework but instead are online with friends and talking enormous ammounts of crap.

Any earlier than 3 tho you run into many people from other countries, usually england or some other countries in europe.
But afte 9:30 its usually adults or atleast people who arnt gonna talk that much smack or glitch.

But that glitch is the most annoying thing ever and i wish there was somthing we could do to them but MS wont listen and complaing only makes them do it more. But thats suspected when you play any online game and theres somethign to exploit. You can only bite the bullet and hope the next game is better.

I finally got fed up with all the trash talk.  I don't mind it every so often, and I don't mind giving it every so often either, but that is usually when I KNOW who I am playing with, aka friends of mine, so I know that they are only kidding around and trying to give me a hard time.  It was all those butt munchers who I don't know that start talking just plain mean trash that I finally got fed up with.  I don't play much live anymore because of it.  I get it, I'm not the best player in the world.  I have a life, and it doesn't include playing every waking minute online so I can do a headshot kill while upside down and drinking mountain dew.

but now....

Theres is a terrible trash talking/glitching community.

Enormous amounts of lag from hosts.

And there are barely any more matches because of those stupid new maps.

Lol, My friends a trashtalker. What makes it funny is that he sounds like he's twelve but he's really 15 so whenever he's being stupid i'll tell the opposing team to call him a little kid. So anyway i sympathise with u all, i don't excessivly trash talk.

i enjoy using glitches like for instance i will do the glitch where you can move you body through the floor  and go behind sumbody shoot them once, then hide and go around behind them again it's really funny although i never kill that way

(p.s. i also do that version where if you leap over a low object you can pop out where ever you want, i find somebody whose looking around for enemies and pop out right in front of them lol they go crazy)

I can agree with you on that one, it always glitches whenever I put a shotgun shot directly into somebody and their chainsaw is still loaded, even after I directly shoot them with a shotgun! (and they end up chainsawing me at the end :roll: ) Just blame the most recent update, it did more things than just that to ruin Gears multiplayer, such as the Boomshot's ability to now down people (this one pisses me off so much).

Gears online started sucking royaly after its first update. Now all everyone does is Run up on each other with shotguns. whats the point of a cover based shooter multiplayer, if you ignore the core mechanic. gears sucks online and its sad. it was so good for the first few weeks.jigglebilly1983

yeh the run and shotgun is annoying. i like to duck and roll and hide (in real life too). at least it provides for easy kills when they stand in the open shotgunning you XD

Which sucks, because I wanted to try these new MP maps, but I'm not playing them with the community that plays now, I want the community back where the worst we had until x-mas was some funny drunk or stoned people, and a person getting mad but then just wait for the next round (some quit).  No one glitched, either.

Any FPS which involves a shotgun, people just run up and pop you in the back.

I dont play fps games online as its just, bleh. Except UT. 

I only play friends now. Ranked matches I might play once in a while if I'm completely bored and feel like having my day ruined by a bunch of dopes who do nothing but swear, act racist, and cheat. Nothings worse than being chainsawed by a shotgun, then him letting you live (somehow), rinse and repeating, until he has about 10 kills in the first round, magically.

 I would try for achievements but it's just complete BS. I'm not playing a bunch of randoms for countless hours just to get some achievements that are worth a pathetic small amount of points anyway. If only I could play my friends (ie, people I *know* and can joke around with the next day) and still have scores tracked and kills count towards achievements.

wow that is funny, someone who is 15 sounding 12 a whole 3 years difference, wow that amazing and really funny, can i be your friend? i want to be friends with you..... 

People talk to much trash on Gears it is really annoying. Especially those people who are always telling you what team you can or cannot be on.

I hate it whenever somebody tells you which team you can and cannot be on, I ran into the first example of this when I randomly joined a Gears match one day, then I decided to join the COG.  But the host appeared to be an extremely immature kid (his gamertag was gearsofownage or something like that), then this is how he reacted once I joined the COG:

"No!!!  Join the Locust"

Then just to see how the kid would react after me joining the Locust, I changed to the Locust and this is how he reacted immediately after that:

"Yes!!!  That guy sucks..."

After I heard that, I got pretty mad and I was really close to filing a complain on him, but at the end I just put a negative feedback review on him.  But that kid deserved a complaint filed on him, no doubt about it.  And I regret not filing a complaint on him either.
