I decided to get a new lcd tv, itsmaybe not the best one but not everyone is rich ;).

Anyways so what i was wondering do all the games look a lot better on a lcd tv? Like for instance call of duty 4, halo 3, gta 4, fallout 3 and gears 1 and 2? I mainly got the new tv for games coming out in the future like ufc undisputed and fight night round 4 (yea im a fighting nut :D).

I spent a relatively low amount to get a 26in Toshiba 720pLCD HDTV and nearly all of my games look loads better. However, some of the first games to come out on the 360, such as Dead Rising, may not look much better because you will really see their blemish problems come out with the HD.

However, COD, GOW, etc., etc. look much better in HD.

well that is extremley vague man... we need more information. What kind of TV is it? (Brand), is it 720 or 1080, contrast ratio, response time, etc. etc. What Size? What cables are you using (composite, Component, VGA, HDMI), How far away are you sitting...

Generally I would say yes, all (this gen) games look better in HD....but like I said, we need more information!

lol, definetley no reason to diss that TV man, its actually a nice set. A lot more than some people have, let me tell you! Your games should look great on it. just make sure you use an HDMI cord IF YOUR 360 IS HDMI COMPATIBLE.....if your 360 is NOT compatible, use Component cables and make sure you set the switch on the cord to HD Then, lastly, go into your system settings and change the display to 720p... Have Fun :)

no, not "Nough Said". If you took the time to actually read his post, you would of noticed that he already got a TV, and that he was wondering what games were going to look like on it, not which type of TV he should buy... NOUGH SAID.

I seem a little more pushy/aggravated when I have papers due, as well ... lol. In fact, I'm working on one that's due tomorrow. University is always a drag around this time in the semester ...

Good luck on yours, man.

EDIT: And on topic, the TV you listed is pretty nice -- your games should look fantastic.

I'm gonna buy a 42 inch widescreen when I start working fulltime after I'm done my training. I don't know much about tv's but the one I'm picking up is from Bestbuy and it's there generic brand.

yes, there is a big difference between a SD and HD tvs. i use to play on one when i first got my 360 then i said i need a HD tv because i can't read what the hell that says. i bought one i said wow this game looks great. i have a 32" sony bravia. the older games on the 360 don't really require a HD tv, there wasn't a big difference. dead rising is one of the older games that does because of the small text capcom put into it.

Buy a Vizio LCD or Plasma from Costco if you are looking for something cheaper. I have a 42" plasma from Samsung 720p have had it for a while but if I was looking for something cheaper I would buy a Vizio. HD Gaming is a lot better you will enjoy your games more.
