Getting an account to log-in to Xbox Live automatically

I think I'm probably asking a dumb question...but I have tried just about everything that I can think of.

Is there anyway to get my default (Xbox Live) enabled account to auto-login when i turn on my Xbox and enter the dashboard? It used to do this but then just quit for what appeared to be no reason one day. I fiddled and tried to get it back to an "auto-logging" account but nothing came of it.

Here's the kicker...I picked up an indie game called avatar drop and my roommate wanted in...so he made an account and an avatar for the game. Guess who's account was logged in the next time I turned on my Xbox.

What gives? Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My xbox doesn't auto log-in if it was disconnected from live then turned off then connected to live again. Helpful?

No...connecting to live isn't the issue...it's getting the Xbox to automatically log the profile of my choosing in when it turns on.
