hi, i am goin to be getting myself a xbox 360 for christmas, namely this one as i think its an amazing deal

xbox deal

but i need a little help

First, what is the current failure rate of the Elite, i am a PS3 fan but have always loved the xbox, but since being around PS3 fans i hear nothing but bad things,

second, i use a wireless network, but the adapter for the xbox 360 costs £54!

Adapter

i am wondering would it be possible to use an ethernet cable to connect the xbox to my PS3 and use the internet like that, i doubt it but im trying to save money and think this might work

third, i am currently getting

  • Fable 2
  • Fallout 3
  • Halo 3
  • Viva Pinata (giant fan ;) )

any other reccommendations?

Is asking a lot but will be so grateful for help :)

im not sure but since its a new elite you should not have to worry and it something was to happen, always remember you have 3 year warranty for the red rings. about the adapter, you should find some cheap ones online, i bought mine a year ago on ebay for $59 very cheap and works like new.

for the games you should also get gears of war 2 and halo 3, banjo kazzoie, mass effect and bioshock

Hi, mate.

Xbox deal- Seems pretty sweet: the best Xbox on the market and two of the best games coming out this year on the 360. You asked about the failure rate of the Elite... Keep in mind that the Elite is the same Xbox as the one that comes with the Premium or the Arcade package: only difference is the perks you get with the Elite-a 120 gb hard drive and an HDMI cable to name a few things the other packages don't have. That said, the failure rate is the same as new standard 360's:small. I think you should be pretty safe with this Xbox 360.

Internet: What you are suggesting is not possible(if I understand what you are saying). So you'll have to pay for the adapter :S

Games: The bundle games are pretty good and I definetely recommend Halo 3 and Viva Pinata. Those 4 games are great and will help you pass by the Holidays. Now: since you speak of prices in pounds, I assume you are British. And looking at your sig(which is very funny by the way), I'll take it you're a footie fan. Buy FIFA 09. The only football game that has Blackpool. At least there, you have a chance of winning the Champions League with Blackpool. xD
