Is anyone else getting Forza 2 even though they never played Forza 1? I am, I've been a longtime Gran Turismo player but won't have a PS3 even when it releases. Forza 2 looks like its going to be awesome, with tons of improvements made from the first one.

Ya I've seen it used for like $8 thought about it then thought I already don't have enough time for games I do have. The customization, physics, online play, auctions, everything about Forza 2 sounds so awesome.
I played it, it isn't as good as Gran Turismo 4 for realistic handling but most of the rest of it makes up for it. I didn't play it online but I imagine it rocks online and that makes it overall better than GT4. I can't wait for Forza 2 though.
I've looked into this game because after some practice, and learning how to handle the cars in PGR 3 I got addicted to racing sims. I'm defenetly going to be buying this game.
Why ask that question? Its like asking if you need to play NCAA 06 to play 07 -- you don't. Btw, did anyone catch the 1upshow video of forza? They had a sweet setup (3 networked xboxes and 3 40" screens)

Whoa...as a huge Forza and GT fan, I must say, Forza 1 spanks GT4 in physics and handling realism. The game over all it much better than GT4.

Sorry to tell you this, but PGR 3 is not realy a sim at all. That said, sim racing games are one of my favorite types of games because they are so deep. I look forward to seeing you guys in Forza 2.
BTW forza 1 emulation realy sucks on the 360, so do not judge the series on that experience.

Forza 1 works in your 360. I have the first one, had it when it first launched. As god is my witness, I will have Forza 2 on launch day and I will not be going to work that day. My fiance already knows that Im not walking the dog, the fridge will be full of beer and Im not leaving the house all day. ;)
about the wheel, does anyone know if it will go down in price by the time forza 2 comes out, or if there will be a bundle with fm2 instead of pgr3? cause if not, i think i'm gonna go ahead and buy the wheel.

exactly my situation. i may still get ps3 for gt down the line too. i think forza will be good, i'm looking forward to it.

You're getting the sequel even though you never had the original? Dude, you're gonna be totally LOST.
lol, I got the original for 8 bucks at Gamespot and loved it. Definitely better than GT4. I liked GT4's car selection a lot, but Forza was a way better game. Much more fun, controlled a lot better. So yeah, I did play the original but I'm really stoked about Forza. If you liked GT, you'll probably get something out of this and I recommend it highly.
