Getting into Fallout 3

I have just started playing Fallout 3 and i think it is pretty good but people say you will get sucked into the game. I have not got sucked into the game yet and i am up to the part where you have just escaped the underground facility and you are in wasteland. How long do you think it will take me to get sucked into the game.

It will probably pick up now that your free to roam the Wasteland. Just go explore.

The underground facility's are called Vault's. Play trough the first few missions of the main quest line, and then start exploring. It doesnt matter which way you will go, you will see a building or group of people exploring. For bonus points, download the Dl's, they are just great

It took me about 4 more hours past leaving the vault to get really into the game. Stick with it a little longer.

Check out Megaton, explore around, and speak with Moira Brown. Once you set out, complete a few missions and find new locations, then the game becomes more interesting. Took me about 4 hours to get hooked.

It took me 40 hours to get into the game...I only got into a bit when I was finsishing up the main quest with Project Purity.

i had this for the ps3 first at which time it had no trophies, i quit it wasn't good or so i thought it got an udate for trophies and i decided to play again i got hooked after about 2hrs but then got an xbox and bought it again ;p love all the expansions for it one of me favourite games also easy achievements.. but shh ;p

for some reason it took me thee times playing this game but on that third time it was amazing, the dlc helped alot. omgzz i cant wait till vegas

I was sucked into the game as soon as I popped it in.

strange question, we are all different, could take you just the opening scene to get roped in like myself, or it could take hours.. we don't know you !

start doing some side quests and leveliing up and it will get better, although i was never sucked into it...

I really love this game, but keep getting distracted. It's a game I always pop-in in between other games. I'm a completionist, so I'm far from finished. I guess my character has clocked about 90 hours, between several playthroughs of DA:O, ME, The Darkness, and now ME2.

The game truly begins when you leave the vault. Just loved the entire atmosphere. I even loved the feeling of being completely lost and not knowing what to do when you first escape the vault. That's how it should be, no? It's your first time out in the open and stuff. Loved the game.
