I have so many quests new and old. Which ones should I focus on? I'm level 22 or so, I just joined the stormcloacks, I'm a werewolf... I seem to spend more time shuffling my inventory then actually playing the game. I really have no experience with smithing or like activities, I did a bunch of quests for the college, theifs guild, i'm trying save up for a house but I'm a ways off, so profitable missions would be good. So what quests should I do?

In all honesty there's no right or wrong way to go. I would level up some professions though like blacksmithing if you wear metal armor.

If you got no clue what to do next then you are, indeed, playing Skyrim properly.

Good call. Just go out there and explore the world - area by area.

I would just go ahead and do the main story missions. I have a huge backlog of fetch quests too, and it's kept me from beating the game despite the fact that I picked it up at launch. One day I need to sit down and just beat the game. I'm a perfectionist, so it's tough for me, but I'm learning to ignore the endless radiant quests and just go for the real meat.

Yeah thats one thing that i feel like im doing wrong is smithing and and alchemy and enchanting and that sort of thing. I really haven't touched it. I never have the required skills or items to do anything and it seems like a boring chore. You think it's alright to put it off a while? I kind of wanted to get all my one handed and magic upgrades first.... But those stupid Dragon Scales and Bones have me curious. Right now I have them all in a chest in Faendel's house since I don't have a house of my own. I'm worried they will disappear one day though. Also, I'm pretty sick of Faendel. I've had him for a while. Can you recommend a good follower? Should I just go back to Lydia? Does it matter? I am pretty bored of my weapons too. My main weapon is the blade sword.
