I'm sure that most of you music/rhythm game fans are aware that Red Octane's coming out with another band-centric Guitar Hero game next March - Guitar Hero: Metallica. I haven't seen or heard much about it, but ever since I first got word about it a couple of months back, I've had my mind set on getting it, since Metallica is one of my top 5 favorite bands and I have yet to get Rock Band 2 or GH:WT. Which is exactly my point. In the near future, I may get a new game, and among my potential candidates are Rock Band 2 and GH:WT, and if I get either of those, it's likely that I'll skip GH: Metallica. But it's a tough decision.

So, what are you guys gonna do? Stick with Rock Band 2/GH:WT or get GH:Metallica? I have a feeling that GH:M won't live up to it's hype, and my biggest fear is that the songs they will include in the game will be ones that were written post-The Black Album. So what do you guys think?

depends on what songs they have. I already got the Death Magnetic DLC, as well as all the Metallica DLC for rockband. Would really have to be worth it, and puppets alone wont cut it for me.

I haven't seen any details emerge about it.. Right now, you can just get RB:2. In my opinion, it's far better than GH. Just rent or buy that Metallica game when it comes out.

I'll probably buy it the day it comes out. A few songs I really want them to have would probably be The Unforgiven II, Hit The Lights, Sad But True, and all of Master of Puppets.

Like GH Aerosmith, Metallica will live or die by its track list. I will play it eventually, probably right when it comes out; but I'm not expecting it to be that solid of a game. I really want more info on the number of songs, and which tracks made the cut.
