GH3 Guitar working on RB2?

Someone told me the guitar hero 3 guitar will work on rock band 2... any truth to this? It'd be nice to finally get my 2nd guitar for rock band AND score guitar hero 3 at the same time... this will also knock the whole 'cant kill 2 birds w/ one stone' theory completely out of the water.

Yes, the Guitar Hero 3 guitar will work for Rock Band 1 and 2.

Keep in mind, you do loose some of the functionality of the official Rock Band guitar, such as the effects switch, and the solo fret buttons. Not much to be missed, in my opinion.

But you CAN'T use Rock Band guitars on Guitar Hero 3.
