I think Rock Band is the better game - It offers so much more i.e. learning four parts to each song as opposed ti GH3's one. that said it is expensive so I'll wait and see. Price drop perhaps lol.

the old guitar works just fine thats been confirmed, as for your question the best way i can think of it, if your playing it alone get GH3 but if u have alot of friends who come round rock band might be better as works well as a party game
it has been officially announced that the gh2 controller works with gh3 and RB, and the gh3 controller works with RB, not sure about RB guitar working with gh3 though. that being said, i think gh3 is the better game if you are only looking for the guitar experience. i def want the drums though, so i'm going for both rb and gh3.

i choose guitar hero 3 because i refuse to pay $170 or so. i can deal with the $100 guitar hero 3 bundle, but i have other games i want to play this year that are more important to me than rock band. GH3 FTW!
I've got to go with Rock band. Rock band looks to have an amazing career mode. It also has a new guitar with cool new features and the ability to play drums and vocals! Rock band hands down. All though I'll be picking up Guitar Hero III too. ;)
I haven't tried rock band but it looks super expensive for a game you might not play all the time.
I'm going with GH3, it has a lot of decent songs and a wireless guitar :o

Yeah.. I heard it was 170$ but it look's kinda cool.
It may be 170 but you are getting A LOT for your money and I think once people play it at a friends house or something they will see how sick of a game it is. I mean, I have friends that have played it and they say it's AMAZINGLY FUN! I also watched the preview video they have on IGN and it looks SICK! I can't wait! I am personally picking up both and have already paid for both.
Well I am going to Say Guitar Hero 3, but rock band I will admit looks pretty sweet, it's just a lot of money to get the full effect of the game. Whereas guitar hero 3 you really only need one guitar.
I think they will both be great. But I am going to have to go with Guitar Hero 3. Why? Well for one think. I know it will have better songs. Because in rock band I dont think there are any metal songs. And alot of good guitar parts come from metal so I just think the guitar in that game would be boring. But I could be wrong. So it all comes down to what you want. Do you want a game with just guitar or Guitar, Drums, ect... They both look good to me but I am getting Guitar Hero 3 first. + Guitar Hero 3 have a DragonForce song on it.
Ok, Rock Band Hands Down.. First of all, amazing party game, 4 players at once all on different insturments!! What does Gh III have? 2 player co-op both playing the old lame guitar! WTF!! The demo reminds me of Gh 2 exactly! There's really no point in paying another 100 $ for the same damn game!! Rock Band will keep you playing for awhile. Plus, Who wants to play with the Already made characters in GH III? Wtf!!! In rock band, you can design your own character and actully buy clothes and sell em! And dont even get me started on The xbox live for rock band! Its gonna have 4 modes!! 2 that are like Band vs Band kinda thing and 2 that are still unknown but are gonna be awesome!! So You decide Rock Band or GH 3???
Hi guys can any tell me if the Rock Band game will it work on Euro 360's as somexbox games seem to, I know its official release isn't till the 1 quarter of 08 in the UK, but I would import NTSC (Canadian) version if it would play. Any info would be great.
