My blue fret seems to not register when I press it on chords or notes. I've heard that other people are having the same problem on different frets, and even the strum registering extra presses. Anyone here have any issues?

Dude, I had the same problem.....twice. Talk about frustrating.

Im having major issues , im using the GH2 xplorers, both guitars regester too many stokes just on the "upstroke" i;d say over 50% of the time, its driving me nuts, to the point where i popped in gh2 to make sure there wasnt an issue, and there isnt. It's getting extremely frusterating.

Me and my friends guitars work perfectly, just return the game and get a replacement.

Yes I have had the same problem with my blue fret button, I gave it a small smack down and its ok for now but some thing is not right. I have not tried GH2 yet but I would think my problem was more of a hardware issue then software.

Disconnect the neck, wipe the contacts clean and reattach the neck firmly. That's been helping in some cases.

What do you suggest we use to wipe them with? A washcloth or a Q-tip? Should we use any solvent like water or rubbing alcohol?

two of my friends had problems with the wireless guitars, one wouldn't register some of the frets, and the other wouldn't register downstrokes. but they just took them back told the problem to the store and they were given a brand new one, which now all work great. so if you got that problem best bet is to just go back let them know return them, get the good wireless guitar and relaize how sweet they are and the game is

No doubt the game is a BLAST and I like it even WITH the issues I have with my guitar. My only concern is if I return the one I have how will I know I just won't get ANOTHER guitar with problems? There's no guarantee and if I can simply clean mine then all should be well. Gamestop is VERY picky on returns so returning something once is ok but twice they get REALLY pissed off and sometimes won't let you.

I tried BOTH my xplorers, and they both do the same thing... Im glad im not the only one with this issue, I wish they'd release a patch or something to fix this.. I havent played it since the day after it came out.

So I have been playing GHIII since my last post and all is well with the blue button. I removed the neck and tapped the neck in my hand no so gently and its been working great since. I know this is not the same problem as everyone else but in case anyone out there has this issue with the blue button thats what I did.

i had a problem , my 3 middle freats wouldnt work . I WAS SO PISSED!. I figered it out later that day and fixed my friends guitar. detach the neck . put it back in and lock it . THEN WHEN ITS LOCKED PUSH IT TOWARDS THE BODY . keep on doing this it should work . the problem is that the connection between the neck and guitar is messed up . w.e i never detach and it works fine . if u still have a problem get an elastic (tight small 1) and put it from the strap holder on the neck to the strap holder on the bottem of the guitar . it will hold it.

Has anyone heard of this, my guitar buttons work okay in the menus on GH3, no issues with wireless connectivity, however when i go to play a song the green and blue frets are stuck on, and i cant strum any notes, the only way any notes can be played is to shake the guitar gently and justt random notes are strummed..have any clues? im taking it back to circuit city next week but justt wondering if any ideas i could try, the connect at the neck is tight and i have cleaned the contacts...second guitar that hasnt worked for me

For those of you who are having issues with different frets not registering, i'm 99% sure i know what the issue is, and it ain't pretty. You see i had the same problem and thought it was just a faulty guitar. I ended up buying another used one, as well as traded in the original defective one for a brand new one out of the box. But alas, they both ended up doing the same thing after a fair amount of use. To everyone with frets not registering, take the neck off, and check out those 8 (?) connection circle pads in the neck... notice those grey areas in the copper? Yeah, that's because the needles in the head of the guitar scrape through those connections over time, thusly not making a connection with each other. Thats why when you finagle the neck, or push it in towards the head, it'll register. A friend and I are going to expirament with taking one apart, and possibly doing some soldering. I will keep everyone posted on how this goes. Im sure we will also look into reinforcing the strum while we are in there, since i have seen the problem with too many registers on my friends guitar.
