Anyone know how to do it, I have searched around and all I find are links to points.microsoft.com which can't be used to gift points anymore. Anyone know how?

I want to gift some points to my brother to get Perfect Dark.

Haha awesome, now if only someone would tell us the secret. I think microsoft just hates generous people, thus making it extremely difficult or maybe impossible to gift points.

Unless im wrong the only way to gift points would be to buy a card and send them the code .

I'm having the same problem - I've been wanting to send MS points to my sister, but can't. From what I've heard, there was an old method that existed but it got removed due to the accounts being hacked ( or otherwise compromised) and points being sent over to a different account. I guess we're stuck just buying those code packs and sending them either by email or post.

It's a shame really, it would be nice to be able to gift games - like you can with steam. It makes a nice little birthday present when you log-on and find you've got a gift for your birthday.

I found various articles online claiming that they added gifting back in like december 2007. IE: http://majornelson.com/archive/2007/12/23/give-the-gift-of-points.aspx

Ah thanks for the articles - at least now we have a conclusive answer to it all. I guess the paper codes is the only way then.

PS: We're all too generous; getting upset that we can't give away our money :P

i think they got rid of it because people were hacking accounts, buying a tonne of points, and then sending them to themselves
