I'm really looking for a different kinda game, not an RPG or a shooter but something different and addictive.

I'm considering Oblivion, the thing is I've played RPG's before and got bored with them after 1 hour or so.

You never know man, I used to hate RPGs, I even tried Morrowind before Oblivion came out and I thought "Well, looks like I won't be getting Oblivion" but my friend got it and I absolutely loved it. If you can, buy the guide I would still playing it if I never had that :PViva Pinata or Oblivion. XlpranksterlX
Viva Pinata actually does look pretty fun but I'm not sure I fully understand what the game is about.
Viva Pinata is a 'Sims'-esque game with no clear objective in it, except to capture every last one of the 60-something Pinatas for your own. To capture a Pinata (or make it your "resident" to live in your garden), it must go through three stages:
 1) Appear outside your garden. While it's out there, it's still not yours, but it will be soon ;).
2) Come into your garden, but you have no control over it.
3) Become your full-fledged resident and you be able to pamper, control it, build it a house, w/e. It's yours for good unless you screw up big time.
If you really want to get into the game, which the title of your thread is implying, there are message boards for people who really love and are addicted to the game. There they can trade, get tips on getting more pinatas, and just talk about the game in general. It's actually quite addicting if you get into the game... Hope I helped this is my first post after 1Up.com was ruined.. Later :).
