Seeing as I'm not a huge Halo fan(I prefer COD/Gears of War), give me some insightful reasons why I should get Halo Reach...I'm still "iffy" on getting it simply because I have a feeling COD will takeover and I won't end up playing Halo Reach...

Call of duty mp addiction is a reason enough for you not to egt it. I love btoh games multiplayers and ahve over 200 hours in both but they just wont mesh well together unless thats those are teh only two games you plan to play at all. If you plan on playing single player games or sports games ect in bewteen your mp fixes then one is going to get shafted majorly

lol

1: every type of gun in cod is same.very little guns in halo is the same

2 Nooob tube. cleary how many times have you spawned get pwned by noob tube or turn a corner and get noob tube by a nub who just spawns and press on the d pad?

3 assuming cow Bo as bugs good luck getting them fix them... you see what happen in mw2 it took nearly 5 months to start fixxing bucks and they still don't have more then half fix... you get a bug in halo bungie have it fix in a week

4 game change... go play codBo and play same maps no changes same gametypes no changes. now play halo and get playlist updates every month special game types every weeken,

~~~
clearly mw2 destoryed the beauty that cod 4 brought to the series. i bought cod 4 like half year late because every time turn my head i heard how good cod4 was. and bought mw2 release day and two weeks later i so regret buying that gme because the bugs destoryed the gameplay and over power noob tubes took over
1. Addiciting multiplayer that resembles call of duty's exp level up system. Armor abilites add a whole new layer of strategy. Everyone plays to win, not to earn a killstreak (nuke anyone?)
2. Epic Campaign. This is bungies last hoorah and they're going out with a bang. Watch the Battle begins trailer to see what I mean. (space combat)
3. FIREFIGHT. A fun alternative from the two modes mentioned above- you can customize your game to a T. From what guns the enemy carries to how long you play. (check bungie.net communtiy updates for all the goodness)
4. Community support. The game will ship very polished and balanced(had a beta) but if and when a bug comes up you can count on bungie to take care of it ASAP. Playlists will be updated frequently and there will be fun and original double exp weekends.(griffball)
1) Firefight (matchmaking, 8 new gametypes, customise enemies, AI, weapons, speed, botomless clip, skulls, etc.)
2) Forge (forgeworld, object physics, building racetracks and sculptures, file sharing)
3) Campaign (Huge battles with up to 60 AI, space combat, less linear levels, epic story, 4 player co-op, MATCHMAKING)
Nah, I don't really care if you get it or not. You should probably try it out if possible, though, to see if you find it fun :)
halo forge world
firefight matchmaking with customizable skulls and waves
it is the the prelude to the entire series of halo 1, 2, 3, and ODST pretty much says how it all happened and we get way more spartans this time instead of just master chief.
Last halo game that the original developer bungie will be working on.
it will be very popular online for many years to come so it isnt like the online community will shrink or go away a month after the games release.
It is 2:30 am here and i came up with those reasons i am sure there are more but it is to late for me to think ZzzzZZzzZZzzZZZ
1. Because you want to and like it.
2. Because you want to and like it.
3. Because you want to and like it.
That'sthe only reason you should have in order to buy a game.
It works completely differently in different ways. Overall, I think it may be a little more, closer to halo 1, but I may be incorrect
The sheer fact that you are looking for others to give you a reason to purchase something shows your obvious interest in the product at hand, therefore, you do actually want to purchase it. That is reason 1.
Reason 2 begins with a little boy named Timmy who...haha just kidding. Halo is much different than MW in that MW tries to have more realistic (a term used lightly in video games) gameplay. With that in mind, Halo Reach will give you the more fantasy type of game where you are able to jump super high, tear tanks apart, drive/fly vehicles (not to mention the hyjacking aspect of them), and play GRIFBALL!
Then reason 3 would have to be Reach's forge and theater modes (so I guess 2 reasons). Forge lets you customize and CREATE entire game maps. Now keep in mind that when they put it in Halo 3, they threw it in their so that gamers could "MODIFY" (not create) maps to change things up a bit. They had no idea that the level of creationism Halo fans show in their custom made levels would be as apparent as it currently is. People have CREATED entirely NEW maps from existing old ones with the very limited number of items in Halo 3's forge. Now in Reach, they have created Forge with the idea of letting players actually CREATE whole maps on their own, not just modify existing ones. It will be on a level almost uncomparable to that of Halo 3.
As I was saying before, theater is also a great part of the game ( I actually don't know if they kept it but I'm assuming they will). You can make clips from your game footage and show friends and keep it as a memento of the great times you had with the game. I'm also sure they will keep their bungie.net thingamajig where you can check how many kills you have with each weapon along with where you got kills on maps and where you die on maps. With Halo 3, you could see practically any and all statistics related to how you played online, via bungie.net. I'm sure they will have that for Reach as well.
So I gave you more than enough reasons to buy the game. The only questions left to answer is...will you? Oh, also as an added incentive, if you purchase Halo: Reach on Amazon, you get a free $20 e-giftcard to use on their site once the game ships. That goes for Black Ops as well. So you could get free $40 if you purchase both games. Plus there is no tax, and no shipping cost. Also, if you're an Amazon Prime member, you get free release date shipping. If you're currently a college student, you get one year of it for free (which is what I'm currently doing). Anyways, best of luck with your decision.
That's true, COD and Halo are 2 totally different games, so I'll be getting the best of both worlds....I never really looked at it like that.
Last Bungie Halo game. Read: more than 10 years of experience.
Better Multiplayer
Possibly best graphics on the Xbox 360. Gears doesn't have **** on this.
Top 3 reasons:
Best FPS campaign on the 360 yet, along with 4-player co-op/matchmaking.
Improved Map Editor (Forge mode) which makes awesome custom maps like the ones in Halo 3 even easier to make.
Everyone will buy it. lol, not saying it will be like a peer pressure type of feel, but if you play with friends a lot then chances are, no matter what they usually play, they will get this game.
edit: I had to add one more reason that I almost for got. FIREFIGHT MODE (the Horde mode of Halo). I loved this in ODST and I'm really excited that it will have matchmaking this time.
Since you're going to go on an online forum to ask why you should buy a game in a series you aren't a fan of while simultaneously announcing your love of COD and Gears, I'm going to suggest you don't buy it. I would give anything to divert the people who play a game on Xbox Live, only to shout over their headsets saying that Game X is better than Game Y and that they should have never bought Game Y to begin with. That was all I ever heard in Modern Warfare 2, that was all I heard in Gears of War 2, and that was all I ever heard in Halo 3. It's annoying. tl;dr - If you don't like Halo, don't buy Reach. That's all there is to it.
1: Firefight 2.0. You can customize what Covenant will attack you and even customize the maps too.
2: New improvements like sprinting, jet packs, and bubble shield.
3: Improved Graphics, enemy AI, and new levels, vehicles, weapons.
That right there sounds like worth a purchase to me, if you don't feel slightly interested, i guess you just don't enjoy video games.
#1 - If you have friends or not, the story mode(with friends it's better) + firefight.
#2 - The online multiplayer is Halo. Oddball, Grifball, CTF, Slayer, Team Rockets, etc. So many variations and on top of that you can create your own maps with Forge.
#3 - Matchmaking, customization, and weapon selection is probably the best i've ever seen in an FPS. As long as you don't mind the arcade-y feel because believe it or not, this game isn't based on true events. So that aside, it's an awesome game - if you don't want to just shoot AKs and Uzi's all day long.
-Not as much stupid stuff as in COD (Noobtubes from across the map, chopper gunner etc)
-TONS more content, including... Good campaign, Theater, forge 2.0, matchmaking, firefight. Cod has matchmaking and campaign and that fail co op thing.
-Actually takes skill
