Yup people can still cheat using glitches. This is just for folks who boost their gamerscore using exploits.
The original page is old, but Major Nelson recently announced on his site about Gears 2 achievement hacking. but really now. Hacking for a higher spot on the leaderboard or for one's own amusement is stupid enough. but doing this for achievement points? that's just establishing the bottom of the crap barrel.

Yup people can still cheat using glitches. This is just for folks who boost their gamerscore using exploits. i dont think they are really focusing on them because its too hard to prove if someone got an achievement legitimately or not (most of the time, the Gears 2 level 100 one is obvious) i think soulreaver is right, they are more focusing on people who game save, which is extremely obvious because they can get 1000 in extremely hard and time consuming games in 1 day (ie some games have 1000 MP matches played...in a day with all the other achievements, you kidding? haha)

They are going after mainly the people who got the achievements without ever playing the game like the 50,000- 90,000 GS people thats who will get reset.. They wont get everybody im sure of it. I think this is all going to blow over in the next couple months. What Epic and Microsoft is doing is pointless cause people will just create new accounts and many will just Re-glitch all over again. They cant stop this no matter how hard they try. Glitching is wrong but Microsoft needs to focus on other games as well not just gears 2. Anyway nothing has happened to the millions apon millions of gamers who glitched for the gears 1 achievements so why is Epic even doing this if they didnt ban/reset GS for the gears 1 Glitchers? Nothing will happen and this is Epics fault for not properly testing both gears games.Microsoft just wanted there money and if they were serious about banning/resetting GS they would of done something to the many many gamers who glitched for achievementsin other games as well. I bet gamers will sue Microsoft cause if there just focusing on gears 2 glitchers then there not doing there job cause they need to ban people who glitched in many other games too so its fair.
