im lookin to buy a vga cable the mirosoft one has a silver connector but a third party one from hmv has gold connectors isnt gold meant to be better?

thats what i thought.someone told me to buy gold connectors for the quality of the connection. i did have silver hdmi. the picture bounced and faded in and out. then i bought some with gold connectors. never did it again. the picture is great!

so should i buy the third party vga cable with gold connectors instead of microsfts one with silver connector?

Silver is actually a much better conductor than gold. Gold is, however, much more resistant to the surface corrosion that, over time, will cause silver or copper to lose their conductivity.
