ok, so about two months ago i borrowed Left 4 dead froma friend. While playing it my girlfriend became intrigued and wished to join me in co-op. Prior to this she attempted geard of war 2 with me, but honestly, she sucked real bad. She wasnt used to the hand eye coordination required for the game, and generally sucked at most games. I was sure games did not really interest her. When she played left 4 dead she actually ended up liking it very much. So i decided im getting her a 360 with L4D2. im stuck though id like to get her one more game, but am confused as to what to get her. I know she likes the soul calibur series, but thats a really old game at this point, and shes not crazy about fps's and she was too afraid to play Bioshock or Deadspace. I would desrcibe her as the casual gamer nintendo tries to appeal too, but in my opinion the wii is inferior, and it would be cool if she could become a bit of a more serious gamer. so id love if some of you could share really good 360 games that are just awesome to play and would appeal to a casual gamer, you can also suggest hardcore games because i know she loved RE5. Thanks for all you help.

i don't think 360 has any "casual" games

i'd stick with l4d2 and maybe pick up dead rising for her

dead rising, though it has a complex story mode, is still fun and easy to just pick up and dick around with

How about Banjo Kazooie? Also, as crazy as it sounds, I have seen non-gaming girls somehow go crazy over Oblivion.

Honestly I don't think that a casual gamer can just start playing hardcore games. My dad tried playing Resident Evil 5 and I had to constantly tell him how to play, and he still sucked at it. The best 'games' for casuals is on the Wii. Video games require some level of skill, and when you have a casual play a game like Gears of War, its similar to a 500 pound fat guy suddenly trying to exercise: it just wont work.

My buddy's ex loved to play Gears of War 1 with me... now that I think about it she's somewhat sadistic.

Braid is a good one, of course it's not an off the shelf game, maybe a racing game, my ex liked racing games and platformers.

Guitar Hero And Rockband. Alot of girls like cute games so you may wanna give Beautiful Katamari a shot. If she liked Left 4 Dead you might wanna try Halo.

Their are a lot of good arcade games that I bet alot of girls would like castle crashers, Braid, Lumines, Splosion Man, Hexic , Maybe Puzzle Fighter, actual games.... I heard a lot of girls like rock band and stuff. Lego batman, Indy, Starwars, Viva Pinata and hell I would even recommend Left for dead if she isnt to disgusted by killing zombies.

Games that appeal to a girl?

There is no game that automatically appeals to girls in general. It really depends on her. If she plays LFD2 enough then she'll have the hand-eye cordination forother games like Gears or Half-Life. For now...hmmm. I think she'll like Katamari, Geometry Wars, and Braid. They're all good games andare forboth casual and hardcore gamers. And Guitar Hero too, I guess.

And if she's into action or adventure games, try Assassin's Creed or Oblivion. See if she'll like Portal or Mass Effect.

So there you go. Advice from a hardcore female gamer. :)

And to everyone else, yes, there are casual games on the 360. Uno and Buzz. Guitar Hero can be considered casual too.

When video games aren't involved, you'll be amazed how good dinner and a movie works. I'd recommend Katamari Damacy. (I don't even know how to spell it right.)

You spelled it right. :)

Sorry, but a dinner and a movie don't appeal to me. Not all girls enjoy that. As a hardcore female gamer, my idea of a date is hanging out together and playing some games. Movies and dinner are a waste of money. If some guy I was going out with had to buy me something, I'd ask for a game.

VIVA PINATA, if she likes Farm Ville you are sorted.

Virtua Tennis also seems to be a bit of a hit.

If she's competitive Rock Band, Halo 3 etc.

I agree with the guy that said get her a Wii. Those Mario games and all the other gimmicky games that are out on that console grab women like no other.

But X360 specific, try some of the XBLA games that are out. Mine loves all the old Sonic games, Uno, and other simple fun platformer type games.

ROCKBAND

A fake plastic guitar seems to have some of the same effect on girls as real guitars.

My daughter loves Eternal Sonata, and Blue Dragon, so do her friends. Lately she has been hogging Dragon Age. So I would say any of those might appeal to girls.

As already stated there's no way to really say what this particular girl is going to like as they will all like diff. games depending on taste.

That said my wife plays: Fallout 3, Fable 2, Viva Pinata, Call of Duty (all), Halo 3, Half Life Orange Box, Prince of Persia, Borderlands, Dead Rising and the Burnout series.

We did start playing LFD together but honestly didn't find it that good so we never went back to it.

Dead or Alive 4 . . .

nah, maybe The Orange Box, plays just like L4D, or Dead Rising, continuing with the zombie theme.

Try Guitar Hero 5 or Rock Band 2, those games usually appeal to female gamers.

My girlfriend from high school always liked to play my little brother's copy of Spyro whenever she would come over. But since then pretty much all of the girls I know get pissed at me for playing video games, so I consider you pretty lucky.

If nothing else works, there's lots of stuff on XBLA that might appeal to a non-gamer. Or, play some 1 vs. 100 with her and see if she likes it.
