Because I don't get paid particularly well, I rarely buy new games. But I am constantly on the lookout for older games that have gone down in price or are used.

What games have you recently bought that were older and/or overlooked and were a definitive great buy for you? Emphasis on fun, not necessarily on polish.

i think the question is games we bought that were a great buy. anyways i bought mass effect a couple of months ago for 10$ (one of the best games i've ever played, buying mass effect 2 day one), assassins creed a couple of weeks ago for 9$ ( i never really liked it and still don't but worth 9$)

Resident Evil 5 isn't really that cheap.

I just found a dual-pack of Forza 2 and Marvel: UA (the first one) for $14.00. I love finding games where it's cheaper to buy them than to rent.

Edit; I bought Mass Effect used for like $20 a few months ago, and it was WELL worth it.

Maybe you should look into the gamerpass that they have in Blockbuster and Hollywood Videos. I think you for $20 per month you can rent unlimited games one at a time.

If not I guess you should compare prices store to store by going to retail stores and checking online. There are times when a store sells a game cheaper either online or at the store.

There's a stickied request thread for this sort of thing.
