My brother just got Tales of Vesperia which is an amazing game, but so are most of the tales games. Which JRPGs do you think are worth buying?

Eternal Sonata. It's one of my favorite 360 games.

I know this is my opinion, but Lost Odyssey was THE best JRPG I've played on the 360.

And for the love of god, don't spend any money on Blue Dragon. Felt like they should've paid me to play the game..

Tales of Vesperia is by far the best. The Last Remnant is decent, but it's a definite install if you want to even come close to playing it. Haven't tried Star Ocean so I can't say anything about that.

A good one is Blue Dragon I'm loving it so far. Also if you want a PS1 game Legend of Dragoon is incredible.

The Last Remnant is good if you get past the frame rate and the 10+ second texture popping, but Lost Odyssey is probably the best of them. You'll definitely get your money's worth. Tales is a close second. The problem is that JRPG's are somewhat of a dying fad as more and more people are liking Western RPG's like Fable II and Oblivion. Even SE says they are going to explore Western RPG style in the future. It is becoming harder to find good JRPG's because they are becoming more of a rarity. If you want really good JRPG's you need to go PS2 or earlier, those are the best.

Vesperia is pretty easily the top 360 JRPG thus far. I found Blue Dragon and Infinite Undiscovery to be pretty bad IMO, so rent those first before buying. Lost Odyssey was ok (enjoyable characters, ok story that peaked way too soon and a pretty bleh combat system) and so was Star Ocean: TLH (Fun combat system, bleh characters and an average story). I haven't played the Last Remnant so I don't have an opinion on that but i hear its mediocre. Didn't get a chance to play Eternal Sonata much either but it seemed like a fun JRPG and I have heard good things about it.

Eternal Sonata is a fantastic game. I loved it.

Lost Odyssey is apparently another good one, but I have yet to play it though. I imagine I'll enjoy it immensely though.

Oh, there's also Star Ocean: The Last Hope which just so happened to become Amazon.com's most recent Deal of the Day. It's currently on sale for $40 for the next 22 hours or so. I immediately bought a copy and I couldn't be happier. I was waiting for a sale or price drop to get this game. Good times.

The Last Remnant is very good so far, but as was mentioned the load times are pretty excruciating. I've heard Lost Odyssey is really good, as is Star Ocean.

I think The Last Remnant is amazing. I just finished disc 1 and put about 60 hours into it. The load times aren't bad if you install the game. It's too bad this game gets a bad rep because it really is excellent.
