Either it needs to ditch numbers or go 720, maybe even 1080. The reason it can't really do any other numbers is because no matter how many reasons Microsoft comes up with for naming it the 360, it really comes down to the fact that they wanted a 3 right their so people knew that it was able to compete with the PS3 and didn't sound like it was out of date at all. They won't want to keep a 3 in it for the same reason. I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped with the numbers, though I doubt they will ditch their brand recognition and stop using Xbox all together.
Xbox "Xenon 6" The pre-fix Xbox plus what ever to Gpu/or/and PPU chip is called. Or the current codename of this microchip. Just Name it after the processor. Or find and Atlernate word for three. or a Symbol for 3.
Just keep the prefix Xbox and add something that represents 3.
Or 4 since this is the 4th Xbox. Since there is "Xbox", "Xbox 360" and "Xbox 360 S" (The kinect Box) so the upcoming Xbox720 is the fourth Xbox.
NextBox(or some variation of it) is my bet. And 360S is a redesign- it made no changes other than the look and some mechanical functions- therefore, unless you count Dreamcast as a prototype of the Xbox hardware, then no, there have only been two Xboxes.
