Good starting 360 games?

I've decided to purchase a 360 sometime this year.
I'm not getting one quite yet but still...
Can you guys recommend me a couple of games that are already released, or will be released in the near future, for my starting selection?
(I'm a huge fan of First Person Shooters and I dont mind Third Person Shooters).

well in my opinion every 360 owner should have a copy of oblivion because that is just so fun!

i was only really into FPS but then played oblivion and love RPG too now and hitman blood

money is an awesome game! and if you get xbox live you have to get Call Of Duty 3 that is awesome online =]

Perfect Dark 0 is a good game that you could probally find for dirt cheap...also check out Dead Rising and Lost Planet.Solid_Snake56

you can get fight night round 3, hitman, pgr3, and other games for super cheap these day an average of 15-25 bucks. ]

FNR3 and pgr3 are great (speacially for achievments) and other great games

DONT BUY OLD GAMES AT GAMESTOP OR EB  unless there is a great sale. also when u get old games sell them yourself on ebay or amazon and you can keep the awsome cycle going. its almost as if u get to rent a game for half a year for 10$

Well I started off with saints row and Gears of war. When you put in saints row that game is almost saying "WELCOME to XBOX 360!"
