I recently purchased the game Deadly Premonition; a game I'm sure some of you are familiar with. It has a really novel-esque feel to it, and has influenced me to start playing some of my other story-rich 360 games. Here's a list of the games I already have which are rich in story (in my opinion!), and I'd like some recommendations for similar games, or games YOU enjoyed for their powerful stories. Deadly Premonition, Alan Wake, Dead Space 1 & 2, Bioshock 1 & 2, Oblivion & Skyrim, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Assassin's Creed & AC2 & Brotherhood, Dragon Age Origins, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Red Dead Redemption & GTA IV, LA Noire and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I'll look into any and every answer, thank you. (P.S. - I haven't delved into any Japanese RPG / Action games yet, feel free to post about them too!)

One serious gap in your gaming life I'm seeing here is Batman Akrham Asylum and Arkham City!!!!!!! Akrham CIty is probably my favorite gaming story aside from the Mass Effect series. Maybe not a serious story or anything, but I'd call Saints Row 2/3 story great in a humor kind of way. It's probably not really what your looking for but you've listed all my favs already. I haven't played it other than the demo but I've heard Catherine has a good story if your in to that kind of thing.

Yep, I'll second Tales of Vesperia (Still haven't played Lost Odyssy, though I really want too)

I would also add Eternal Sonata. A story about the classical Pianist, Freddieric Chopin, having a dream on his deathbed. Very wierd, but very interesting.

Thanks everyone, and lazyathew - I actually looked into Eternal Sonata whilst considering the other JRPGs :) I think I'll order at least one of these.

Lots of really good mentions for games with good stories. Some of my favorites are already mentioned such as Mass Effect 1 & 2, Alan Wake, LA Noire, and Red Dead Redemption. I have a wild card suggestion. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. It's a very good solid game all around. It's the second best western game I played. For a while it was my favorite western game (until RDR came out). Story was very gripping with temptation, religion, and such. I won't spoil it, but if you're wanting a good solid story, this game has one and its overlooked.

I would recommend the Portal games. The first Portal because it's subtle and the story sneaks up on you. Portal 2 because it's has more traditional story telling, but with excellent pacing, writing and voice acting.

Mafia 2 has one of the best stories I have ever seen in a game. Bulletstorm has kind of a fun story. Then about every Call of Duty game since COD4 has a great story. And I would add The Chronicles of Riddick - Assault on Dark Athena to that list aswell.

If you want a good JRPG as far as story goes Final Fantasy XIII isn't a bad choice.

Thank you everyone, I'll look each and every one of these games up on YouTube tonight. There's some interesting views here, especially regarding Call of Juarez & the Portal games. Probably games I wouldn't have looked into - so once again, thanks!
