Goodbye PSP, Hello my 360 launch titles!

Well I took my dust gathering PSP out of the dark corner I had it stored in and traded it in for games to be used when the new 360 I just bought comes in.

My first purchase? Reserved Bioshock.

To that I added a play and charge kit, Condemned, Splinter Cell Double agent and I put down $5 on Oblivion GOTY edition. On top of that it paid for a 1 year discount card and I've got $14 or so left in credit.

Now, it's all a matter of waiting on delivery. I think that was worth it for a game system I never play!!

you should get gears of well but nice purchase anyway. next few months is a gr8 time for a 360 ownerfenwickhotmail

I'm just not sure about Gears of War. I'm not so much a fan of the Halo type "run around franticly shooting everything as fast as you can looking for armor powerups" kind of game and I gather that GoW and Halo are really similar. Am I wrong about this?

no, its no where near as frantic as halo although it isn't as slow as say Rainbow Six: Vegas. It has a lot about covering in this game rather than running around franticly. Plus, the campaign is amazing. Try and get it second hand or rent it id you're not sure, you won't regret it!!!

so how much credit did you actually get for your psp?AFS-Marc

About what I expected. They are selliing used units for about $125 now that the "slim" version has been announced. I got a little over $60 for it but I bought it used to begin with. Between the games I had, the memory stick that I paid next to nothing for, and the case I got a total of about $140 for the lot.

That's okay I guess...I have a psp I don't want anymore, but when I tried seliing it on ebay I kept getting people requesting that I ship it to Nigeria... ...NO! lol ...I have a PSP and a 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo...but I never feel comfortable selling systems for credit...

I know, I could have done better selling on Ebay if I cared to go through all of that but my experience has been that selling used games and electroinics on Ebay is more trouble than it's worth. Like you say, some clown wants you to ship it halfway around the world for no extra charges or wantes to pay you in a personal check or just doesn't bother to ever pay at all.

If I'd bought it all new I might have tried to get more out of it but I don't think there was one single item that I paid close to full price for anyway.
