Got a different XBox!

I'm mad! i sent In my Xbox 360 before my warranty cancels in October, to fix any potential problems with it, There was noting wrong with it except a made a quiet screeching noise for about an hour when first turned on. When I got it back I got a different XBox! That angers me, if it was not really broken why would they send me another one?! How could they be so lazy that they would not just fix it but send me a different one? This may not seem like a big deal but I wanted MY XBox, not someone Else's refurbished one! They did send me a one month XBox live Card, but I don't have High speed Internet so no XBox live! It was not worth it for the inconvenience!!!!!!:evil:

OK, couple things... why would you send back a working xbox... thats just dumb. They don't open your xbox up fix it and then send it back. Once they get yours they send you back a repaired one from someone else to reduce turn around time. This is life... you shouldn't have sent it in the first place.

Uhh they don't promise to send you the same one back. They say if it's easily fixable, they will and send it back. If it's not, they'll send you a new one. And if you made a point of getting your 360 back, you would have.

Kinda pointless to complain about your "inconvenience" when you sent back a working 360 costing MS money for something trivial.

Indeed it was not broken, so Why would they just send me a different one? My guess is that some Stupid UPS guy dropped it and actually broke it, Thus actually needed to be repaired, and so they sent me a different one. I also have the Fred Meyer product protection plan, so if it breaks I can get a complete refund, and might get an Elite. I guess I was just worried about it crashing A DAY after the warranty is up, as that luck runs in my Family. I just wanted to make sure my baby (yes my baby) had no soon to become problems, That's the only reason I sent it in.

uh yeah if they had taken the time to fix yours it would have taken way way longer it was a convenience they did that for you.

Wow, some of you thank you for you're kind words, Arse's. If you had actually read my post I clearly stated that I sent it in to fix any POSSIBLE problems before my warranty expired in October. I DID NOT know they were so FLIPPIN' lazy that they would just grab another XBox than fix mine! I don't care how long it would take, I'm a superstitious gamer, If the Console Is not MINE I don't feel as I should be playing it thus unable to Play games. I did not see what I did wrong and why you (Some) of you people being complete Jerks about it. I was Just being cautious. I would not have sent it in if I knew they would just ship me a crappy refurbished one, And the one they sent me was a year older than mine!

They can't fix something if there is no apparent problem... What did you want them to do spend months looking for something that may not exist? ANd then we'd see a post saying MS CS sucks because it took 4 months to get your 360 back.Besides, you could have gotten your back by simply putting a note in the box. It's not exactly a secret by any means on how MS has dealt with fixing 360's for the last 2 + YEARS. Would have been some awesome irony to be shipped back a busted 360 as I have been in the past.

Did you really expect people to take you seriously by Saying " I shipped back a working 360 and they sent me one back in a hurry and now I'm mad"?

Do you think at all. How many systems do you think they are getting a day. Most likely a lot of them. That adds up. In order to be able to get there gamers gaming again and to keep them happy they send out a refurbed system once they get yours in or you would be waiting a long time.

Not only that, but you are complaining about MS screwing you over when you are the one that screwed them. When you send in a system it costs them money. You sent in a perfectly fine system so it cost them money to do nothing at all. Good going.

Yeah they just send back a new or refurbished one in simular condition. Its the same for anything you send away to get fixed, its just how the system works.

Look on the bright side dude, by the time they get around to "fixing" your xbox and realizing that it works just fine. All they'll have to do is send it straight out to some other poor slob and the circle of life will be complete. You can take pride in knowing that you helped in a very small way.

Well... for one thing you lied to MS about a problem with your 360 when there wasn't one. They paid for shipping both ways, paid for people to take your call, check your xbox and so on. Frankly, you got what you deserved... MS spent alot of money on you during this whole transaction when it wasn't required. Maybe if the money came out of your pocket you would have been a little less cavalier about the whole thing.
