GoW 3 BETA AVAILABLE NOW!

So I'm downloading the gears of war 3 beta, and I have been for 17 minutes now... Yet I have just noticed the download stop at a certain point... I don't know if it is worth redownloading, or just to wait?

Also, what are your predictions for the beta? Will it be good, bad - Whatever, and make any other predictions for the beta...

I think it's gonna be good, yet i think that there is gonna be a lot of campers with sawn offs waiting around corners for people to walk to them... Leading to epic nerfing the shotgun. - My prediction.

I have spent approxiimately 20 matches with it so far and here is my feedback:

The game is fast. Much faster than GeOW2 (this is a good thing) and really reminds me of GeOW.

Dedicated servers and a beta are what this series has needed from the beginning. Even though this is a beta I have found it to be more fun than GeOW2 multiplayer when it launched.

IMO some weapon balancing needs to take place. I am totally owning people with the hammerburst (why do they still call it this when the burst fire has been removed since the first game?) as most people are messing around with the old lancer.

Charging with the old style lancer seems to be the new chainsaw right now. There are people that just run, sprinting around the map hoping to run into someone...it is pretty hillarious.

In closing, I am enjoying this beta very much and this has really primed me for the launch in September.
