yeah I agree, the missons seam very repetative. Iv just started it and im not finding it that interesting, but im gunna give it my best shot to get 100%
Yeah I know what you mean, about those friends calling you all the time, they're so needy :P, I don't think the game is boring.
maybe we have played too many games of this type and this is the straw that broke the camel's back, with them using the same formula again & again
maybe the game needed a few new tricks or maybe your tired of sandboxgames
I still like the game, and Im having fun , but sometimes I wonder how far can they take it in the future.
well. i agree. its just some of the 100 % tasks seem to boring. Collecting 30 cars for stevie. do u know how long and boring that took. Go here..find this car..find it and drive it back. When sometimes..it takes about 5-10 minutes to drive it back. since its always across the map. so boring.
I think Jack Thompson was right. Grand theft auto causes violence. its just not the actually killing and shooting people in the game that causes it. its the repeitive missions, and side quests that make people want to go out and kill somebody...
:)
I swear. All my games i own including all previous gta ..i always make sure to get 100 % in the game...every game and i usually enjoy finding things, doing extra levels, and what not..replayin the game again to get more stuff. But Gta 4 is the game i swear i am not having any fun getting the 100%.. it seems like a chore..and none of the chores are fun at all. I havent even gotten to the pigeons or jumps yet. Iv been to busy tryin to make all my friends happy. It gets very tedious and i completely think that gta deserves a 8..not a 10ianp_91
Yeh i played it after finishing it i just could not enjoy it like san andreas.

hrah
mercs 2 is changing sandbox games with everything in the world fully destructible and the nukes that are massive.
Um, I have never played a game where getting 100% completion was "fun." GTA IV is the best of the series, by the way.
Oh, crap, "IMO." There, Flame Block: never leave home without it.
Yeah I had to force myself to beat it just so I could sell it. Thought I would never sell it but guess I was wrong on that one.Felix77
Honestly, I like the game and feel it's very deserving of the high ratings and praise it's received. I don't find it repetitive at all and I'm actually glad that Rockstar tried the realistic route, instead of pumping out another cartoony-esque GTA game.
The only reason I sold my copy was that it had scratches on the disc from my 360. I just have to look at it wrong and that thing scratches games. I plan on buying it back in the near future.

you sold it becuase it was scratched? why didny you just buy a cleaner. you woulda got more money if it awsnt scratched atleast gamestop charges like 10dollars refurbish its such a rip off
lmao here we go again. Ok, GTAIV was boring and repetitive we get it. Not like you guys haven't said the same thing about other games. If it's boring to you; you should enjoy Saint's Row 2 pretty soon. Until then stop this whining. GTAIV is an awesome game and I'm trying but I just cant' relate to what yall r saying. GTAIV is just like all the other GTAs with better graphics and a better animation engine so how can you like this less? You guys are very confusing sometimes and I'm beginning to think u just like to complain. Carry on! lmaorrandolph
yeah. i understand..but i agree with you some what. i do agree that its gta..its always the same. but i did enjoy the story and single player very much. its just right when the game ends and now i want to go for the 100%..it seems they could have had better missions for the 100%. its quite boring. but thats mostley it..

I traded it in at Gamestop for $41.30. I got $33 for the game and they had a special going on were I got an additional $5, plus my 10% which was like $3.30. I wasn't too upset since I got so much trade in for it.
Just controlling Nikko on that game is a chore in itself.SaintJotun
haha yeah I still trying to get the hang of him!!

yeah i agree but you all are doing good i couldn't take it anymore and i traded it. Its one of those games were the first 5 hours are awesome then it just repeats its self for the rest of the game. And honestly if you get ten hours in or so you've seen about everything worth seeing for the most part. I felt the same about assassin's creed loved it for the first 3 city's then after repeating 2 of them i was forcing myself to do extra stuff.
I've put in about 70hrs into the single player, I think GTA4 is about as close to perfection in what it's trying to achieve as any game has come in years, I also think that no matter how good games are these days people will still complain about them. We live in a consumer society though, people want it all and they want it now and that even holds true to what they want in a video game, you're all spoiled, be happy Rockstar put out this amazing piece of art and be happy that you're lucky enough to be able to play it.childe_roland
When you put it like that it sounds like a privilege to play it, but i see what u mean
i agree that after you beat the single player getting 100% is a little tedious. but i find that when im having a bad day on a game its always fun to put in GTA 4 for some online play because the it seems that the majority of people online in that game suck at it.
however your picture was a guy from oblivion which i find to be one the most tedious games ive ever played. second to bioshock (at least after youve beaten bioshock. first time was cool) i couldnt get very far in oblivion bored me to tears.

For real man it seems like no one these days is happy with games.
GTA IV is a technical achievement as far as game design and sheer scope are concerned. After completeing the game and getting 100% I looked back it and thought basically the same thing. Very repetitive with nothing more than a bunch of chase missions over and over again. The only times this game shined is when I wasnt involved in missions checking out the town or the missions that werent chase missions such as the bank robbery or the museum piece. Most times it did feel more like a chore than a game.
8/10
