I just want to know what other people think the achievements for GTA IV might be. I think there will be one for destruction and one for finding the hidden items (like the horse shoe in San An).
I'd imagine half of the achievements will be mission based; be it story related, taxi, ambulance etc. The other half will probably be made up of finding hidden jumps/packages/whatever, killing X amount of people with a certain weapon, reach a certain notoriety level.

Seeing as there will be no taxi, ambulance, etc missions, I don't think them achievements will be there, I am sure the hidden packages will be there thou, with the complete single player 100%, also a few multiplayer achievements. Maybe play a total of 50 hours gameplay.
DLC will come with achievements I think, just complete what the episodic mission are.

There are Taxi missions, the game starts off with you doing taxi missions for roman bellic
That depends on how well they hide them, and how nice the scenery is. Exploring GTA3 now a days is like playing quake 2. The graphics don't awe you, and exploring becomes a chore. If the new one has great scenery (which by the pics it looks like it does) then it should be pretty fun to explore once again.

True True. But if you remember when it first came out GTA3 had impressive graphics and exploration was awesome. GTAIV hasnt aged abit, hell its not even born yet lol, so once again i think it will be quite fun finding them. You always notice funny thinks rockstar games leave around the city when exploring ( signs, banners, easter eggs etc)
i'm pretty sure there will be collection achievements, and although i hate that kind, i won't mind in GTA IV considering i already explore every part of the city anyway. also, i haven't heard there won't be taxi/ambulance/police/firetruck missions, is that true?

Nah not true there will be that. The game starts off with you helping roman bellic driving taxis anyway lol
