Graphics vrs Gameplay (H3)

As the world knows Halo 3 beta has come out and is being played none stop by gamers and haters.   But what i have noticed is a bunch of people who say they r disapointed and how they have waited for Halo 3 and the graphics look like halo 2.5??  Yes the graphics are not Gears of War style...  Yes MGS for PS3 looks nice..  But You need to understand 1. THIS IS A BETA...  Beta= not the complete game, a test, a present from BUNGIE to us to play halo 3 and experiment with the new matchmaken system and leave them feedback.   2.  Graphics dont make the game gameplay does.  Take GOW for example game is awesome and graphics are sick! But it only took me about 6 months to get bored of it.  Now look At halo 2 people still play it today and the graphics are nothing compared to todays capablities.  Take another look at WOW.  Nuff said there.

Last thought.  Halo 3 Beta is not Halo 3 its a BETA....  And i apreciate bungie for making it possible for us playing a great game 4 months and 9 days prior to the launch. 

Graphics are like (*)(*) they are just a bonus.

buddy u need both if u cant deliver with a good game with good graphics then just stop making em..as far as halo3 goes u are looking at what the games multiplayer will look like on sept 25th altho not the best they arnt bad, if u dont like them then stop playing but i am sick of hearing ppl Bitc h about it like it will change something.

I'm sick of people saying its only a Beta that is true but guess what 4 months isnt even enough time to work out all the bugs in the gameplay they're going to find during the beta let alone re-invent the graphics.:roll:julianwelton

i agree...i mean they will be able to somewhat, but not to the degree i want them to :(

I agree with you that its all about the gameplay and I'm fine with halo 3's graphics

Dude the BETA has been sitting on Bungie's servers for 6 months, they have been playing it themselves and have ONLY been updating bugs for the BETA not the graphics. Besides a company that has over 2000 People working there could probably make a last gen game in like a week

True. Hopefully they can at least sharpen up everything. Halo 3 is the King of Jaggy edges. The character models look fantastic. They just need to fix up the enviornment. Maybe they are already doing that now, and the beta is just a way to let people play it so they don't lose faith in Halo. Maybe they aren't fixing anything with the BETA, they are having there own private beta in bungie that is fixing bugs.

Sad but true, tis the reason we'll never see a good fallout game again. 

The gameplay is miles and miles ahead of where it was for Halo2.....

I enjyoed Halo1, and enjoyed Halo2 for a few weeks then it got boring.

But Halo3 seems to have alot better gameplay
