If Bungie and M$ were smart, they would of set the release of Halo 3 to later around Christmas. They would of raked in alot more dough. A LOT more, because during the holiday season parents go out and buy anything they can find, and with limited supply people would pay top dollar for one game, or buy more then one copy. Its a priceless concept, and they didnt do it. Too bad...I didnt buy Halo 3...yet.

haha, I think that the majority of people will be biased towards Master Chief since Halo 3 just came out, so I'm gonna take this one out into left field.

Yeah, I think Hiyabusa from NG is up there with Fenix and Master Chief. MC is the most popular for sure but I don't think that makes him the best. They seriously need to make a game to let us end this convo.

You're wrong. This was the perfect time for them to release Halo 3. What bigger (gaming) news was there on that day? There were no other if any notable releases on or around that day. It was already the most preordered game in history, so there was no debate on whether the game would sell or not. Once Christmas rolls around there will be a lot more games to look at. Mass Effect, COD 4, Assassin's Creed.... People will still buy Halo during the holidays and those people who already own it will be ready to drop some money on another game. So M$ ends up making more money on the other games at the end of the year which some would pass to buy Halo.

the kids that didn't get halo3 yet could still get it for christmas...what's the difference, there's just no more rush for it since it happened already...
