All depends where you live and how many copies that store or other stores will get. I work at a Best Buy in Los Angeles and were getting almost 700 copies in. Even if we sold out and a customer walked out there are literally 10 other stores in a 5 mile radius that carry video games where they could find it.
Maybe, I think if you got to a major retailer like Bestbuy or Walmart early you'll be fine but probably not have luck at a gamestore such as EB Games or GameStop
I agree with TM1 alot of retailers are gearing up for this. I live in a small city outside of new england and My buddy whose a mgr. at gamestop said their gonna have 200 copies for scheduled reserves and 30 to 40 backups for the following day after the midnight release. This seem to be the retail method strategy and depending on where you live they should more than likely have a cory readily available It might not be the Special edition... but hey who cares!
yeah, my local gamestop has about 300 pre-orders and abot 40 shelf copies of the game. There is also a walmart, target and best buy within 2 miles though so I doubt it will be hard to get.
EB are the worst for anything... i went in to pre order halo 3 and they said I would have to wait until their next shipment as they had already run out of pre orders... my friend invited me to the midnight launch so i went along. i walked next door to EB to GAME picked up a copy and bought it there and then... so do they just not get enough stock or what?

Which annoys me because i would die to play this now! im on holidays atm and it would be perfect! But i don't want to get my live account banned and my xbox bricked thank-you very much. lol
