GTA 4 Question...

They say its going to be roughly the same scale as San Andreas was.

Except this time there will only be one city.

yeah but the landscape looks mostly skyscraper and docks.. in san andreas they had casinos, ghetto ect ..So just like Libery city was on GTA4 but bigger and mre detail,new characters ect the same landscape

I think I heard something about it being less big as San Andreas but still big. Then again, my information on that may be wrong because I didn't even know the main character's name was Niko. :|

However, I do know for a fact they are trying to make the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions identical. But, the Xbox 360 gets exclusive downloadable episodic content that will expand on the story line, adding missions and more. There are two packs of downloadable content planned so far, and the first will be released in March of 2008 if I'm correct.

So, that will make the two quite different in the end.

Exactly, its more or less a much bigger and vastly improved Liberty city.

Well legally they cant get anything exclusive, since in microsofts $50million deal with Rockstar, the terms state that only the 360 version gets exclusive content, which means any sort of exclusive content on the PS3 would break the terms of the deal.

check the q&a thing in previews. They said belic would not be customisable because its damn hard to do with the level of detail thats gone into the character model. I also recall them saying that his skills will not be upgradeable like they were in San Andreas. Also there's not even mention if you'll be able to change the painfully eastern european getup he's got on ;)Soldi3r1stClass

If what you say is true, which it isn't, rockstar would have a rather large lawsuit with microsoft. What is it with people not understanding a $50million exclusive content deal, it's not chump change.

He doesn't say anywhere it's new content for GTAIV. He doesn't even mention GTAIV. He just says: we are working with Rockstar on initiatives...

If you ask me, this isn't GTAIV related, but related to other games.

The latest word on GTA4 is worrying, some sites have stated after seeing it at E3 the game is not upto scratch and is looking to be delayed, lets hope that doesnt happen. Rockstar wasnt working on LA Noir, another team was, Rockstar was publishing it with take 2.teebeenz

They've got quite a bit to do in 3 months. I'm not sure if they can do it...

Last time i read about it they said its going to be smaller than San Andreas and they mentioned that there was to much land in san andreas that was pointless.booomer69

but the pointless land was made fun by driving and flying planes which then makes it that bit more ealistic u know? more land=more realistic not point to point around th corner stuff...i know in the newGTA ther is prob just big building everywhere
