I prefer GTA because it is a darker, more mature-themed game and I really enjoy the oscar-material writing and storyline. The whole thing is just so epic. Saints Row is more of an arcadey-corny gangster brawl game, which i don't mind, I still think it's fun. But GTA is more of my taste.
I think SR2 has more elaborate missions, is more funny and get a great customization. GTA IV just have better engine. If we could combine both, would be perfect
First thing is that if you put sr2 vs gta san andreas i think gta san would win becuz sr2 barly added stuff and if you put sr2vs gta4 gta 4 would win becuz much realistic better graphic better gameplay and activities more realistic not spraying sewige at people and really wanna know what dum in sr you a leader of a gang and u can wear a hot dog costume but i lkike both gamss but i think gta4 would onquer i think its best game yet.
SR2. It has the fun-factor, enough stuff to keep you busy for a while, and actually good missions. Not just 'drive here and kill this guy' or 'take this guy to this place and escape the cops'....plus, you don't have to deal with friends calling you in the middle of a gunfight to ask if you want to go bowling or play pool.
I like SR2 more than GTA4 cuz SR2 has bad language more than GTA games I think and much funnier, the activities can put your playtime up to 100 hours, plus doing all tags, finding CDs, Barnstormings and all stunt jumps. In SR, my total playtime was over 70h.
Sorry, but GTA has always been synonymous with insane car driving and shooting. GTA IV is tamed down so much it just isn't funny anymore. If I want to play a serious sandbox game I will go for Mafia.
The only thing that brings down Saints Row is its boring driving mechanics, the driving in GTA:IV is awesome and a lot of fun if you can handle it, of course a lot of people diss it because they can't understand how a car works...
