GTA 4 won Game Of The Year at Spikes VGA Awards!!!

Im really happy that GTA4 won it totally deserves the award:D. What do you guys think?

I really don't think that GTA4 deserved game of the year.

It's not that GTA4 is a bad game or anything, its just that its not great. I haven't felt any urge to come back to GTA since I finished looking for all of the pigeons to get 100% (199 pidgeons found, can't bring myself to find the rest). There really wasn't anything to do once you had completed the game, even if you played it through a second time it just felt dragged out because of the very repetative nature of the missions (drvie here and kill him, walk here and pick up this, repeat).

Which brings me to the actual story. It was supposed to be Niko climbing to the top from the very bottom of the ladder. Ok, so Niko starts off as an imigrant with no money and relying on his cousin and living in a shoddy apartment, far enough. But then, at the end of the game you end up with a bunch of money, still living in a shoddy apartment (depending on your choices, which still isn't a great apartment). Thats not the top of the ladder is it?? You should be able to buy houses and mansions, atleast you could look like you had reach the top.

GTA4 also lacked alot of customisation, the supposed clothing stores that offered a wide variety of clothing ended up with a selection of about 5 tracksuits, a couple of jumpers, and then maybe a few varieties of the same suit. Thats not really great customisation. It also missed the customisation that was available for your cars that was available in SA.

Anyway, not saying that GTA$ was bad, its just that it wasn't as good as it could have been. Thus why I don't think it should have recieved game of the year.

Yep deserves it. I'm still playing GTAIV to this day. Awesome game in my opinion. I don't understand what yall talk about when you say you can't play GTAIV. You shoot ppl and they react realistically (I mean 4real), can shoot tires and make cars flip, blow up $hit, steals cars, run over ppl, snipe from rooftops, go to strip clubs, shoot up strip clubs, pick up whores, f whores, and all done with graphics that completely crush any other open world game. lmao - seriously what are yall talking about? lmao

GTA IV is not even in the same level as Gears of War 2 and MGS 4 .

Everybody cries about this customization crap 2! You will get that in GTAV. This was the first on the 360. U can't get everything on the first try. Come on don't u guys know anything about games. Plus Niko had a huge array of clothing options. If you didn't like them you didn't like them but to me it was just like getting dressed 4real. First you guys cry that games aren't realistic enough; then they make GTAIV now you guys say it's 2 realistic. Make up your minds plz.

Just for being able to get in a squad car and search the police computers this game gets a 10 from me and then were plenty other nifty innovations in the game as well. What about the internet? I bet if you didn't like it you didn't even read any of it. I thought it was brilliant. Just my opinions thou.
