Sorry I havn't been around in a while. I am probably way behind. But thats cause I got a job now and a bunch of other crap. Havn't been keeping up with everything. Anyways.. Are there Helis?
I heard that there won't be any planes too. I have not heard about helicopters either, but maybe, just maybe. The only thing I did hear is that there will be motorcycles.
Saints Row also excluded planes, do you guys know why the sandbox games are leaving them out. I always thought they were so cool to fly in San Andreas.
This reall will stink about planes. I can see why they would take out the planes because of 9/11 though. Planes probably wouldn't work well anyways because of the planned "not 1 inch of open land" wouldn't make it very possible.

same here... except for the dying part. i usually just use the parachute to land on the freeway and then start blowing cars up.

and the whole "no planes in NYC due to 9/11 references" seems like a weak argument that R* brings up to reason why IV would have them. i bet they are keeping them out just so the IV sequels can have them and R* can say "GET THE NEXT GTA GAME... THIS ONE WILL HAVE PLANES (again) !!!"Â
When they sais they have taken out planes I assumed they meant the jets. No one gets a passanger jet to go to the other end of a city so it wouldn't necessary. Plus the 9/11 reasons probably influenced the decison. I hear NYC are already unhappy about their city being in the game and allowing you to re-create those attacks could be a step too far.
They havn't said anything about not including helicopters though and there could even be a chance that they include the dodo before since its not as unrealistic as full blow passanger jets. Plus light aircraft/helicopters crashing into a building wouldn't really be a 9/11 sort of attack. No more than the helicopter crash on the Matrix anyway.

they took it off b/c of 9/11. becasue this game takes place in nycCSP121

no no no, thats not what game informer said. The reason planes were taken out is because theirs only 1 city in this game, san andreas had 3. They said they wanted size to be realistic, not having a city end in 5 streets but actualy feel like you're in a real city. So they took out planes to make you feel a little smaller and you wouldnt take a plane to fly from queens to the bronx. I'll miss planes too though :[ hopefully theres helecopters cus those are in nyc.
almost garunteed.. choppers are a big part of the police force and they said this time they'll be more realistic... so(i assume) you'll have choppers with spotlights tracking your ass down but not trying to snipe you... which is cool cause i still want to launch a flaming motorcycle off the roof of a building over(or into) a cop chopper.. .which i hope will be made possible with the Multiplayer aspect .. edit: hope they keep the replay mode in there... cause that's something i could watch over and over again..
