NO! I just found out! This sucks so bad! I know that it gives us more time to play other games in the crowded Fall, but I don't care. I would've(like everyone else) found time to play it.
With GTA now dropping out of the Fall lineup, even though it's only one game, the lineup is much weaker now. At least IMO.
I really think it's because of the PS3development, they probably don't want to release a 360 version first because it might be looked at as exclusivity...so I think they're shooting for an cross platform release on both the 360 and PS3. Screw Sony's cell for this!
YES!!! More time to play Halo 3 and enjoy it! More time with the free Gears Maps as of September. More time to play my newly purchased oblivion. More time to play Burnout Paradise/Mass Effect. This is exactly what I need :)
Sony's cell processor delaying the title is about as likely as the overwhelming orders of duffle bags and safe deposit boxes holding up production.
If T2/Rockstar was happy with the title and stuff didn't run on one platform, you bet your bottom dollar they'd rather cash in 1/2 of Millions of copies sold than Nothing of the same amount... It's about the bottom line, if they're delaying it, it's because they don't want to release an unfinished version, and ruin a franchise... they want to continue to cash in on GTA, and releasing a dud would hurt sales in the future... more than a delay will, after all the "Fanboys" already have their pre-orders down... and it's not like you're going to put that $$ on something else, and loose you place in line...
There is always an upside to delays. Look at it this way, instead of shipping out an unfinished, buggy GTA IV, they are taking the time to complete it to the best quality they can so that it will be an enjoyable gaming experience, rather than a buggy and frustrating one. Trust me, you won't even remember GTA IV once you're caught up in Halo 3, Bioshock, Stanglehold, Blue Dragon, SKATE, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, Quake Wars, Madden 08, Medal of Honor Airborne, Call of Duty 4, Guitar Hero 3 etc.

Agreed. First Splinter Cell: Conviction, then GTAIV. :( I am guessing for Lost Odyssey and Kane & Lynch to be the next to go. :(
That was my most anticipated game of this year. I would rathwr play a finished product instead of playing 95% of a game. It will definately be woth the wait.
I hope we get atleast 7 game's this year with all the delay's i'm reading about,not looking to good 4 the holiday's,we'll be hearing about more delay's soon i bet.I knew it was to good to be true to have so many great game's this year,just give me Assassin creed,Bioshock,Smackdown 08,Mass,Mersenaries 2,COD4,StrangleHold i'll be happy.

Haha I said the exact same thing. It really caught me by surprise. Oh well there are a lot of great games coming out this coming holiday season to keep me satisfied until GTA 4. I was really looking forward to it tho :(
That really does pisses me off, why did they say it was going to be released then if they was going to delay it i don't get delays, don't annouce a release date unless your completely sure

I hope they show GTA4 if it was released in October and GTA4 released in April-May. I wanna see the difference or atleast them say what they added extra.
im actually happy its delayed. theres too many games coming out this fall anyways, so this would save me the trouble of rooting out what games i should buy and which i should wait on. also, this way the game will have more time to be as polished as possible before it releases
