The immediate reaction following the release of GTA IV trailer was one of disappointment to many of us, who expected three or more cities in the game, or at least a city we have never experienced before. But since the first Grand Theft Auto, three cities are not always present? Judging the Liberty City buildings, streets and others details in hi-res i personally believe LC will be the only city in GTA 4, im talking about a mega open-ended super sand-box only at LC! Like Oblivion IV with Ak-47!  But... who knows?

Some keen-eyed viewer with seriously-ninja Photoshop skills (mith buster maybe) have noticed an interesting in-game in exactly five seconds into the trailer. On the top left of the shot just above the wall is a sign written "Visit Vice City - $300", leading many people to believe in the possibility as evidence that GTA IV will contain multiple, country-wide locals. Now that is exactly what i expect from a next-gen power, but... 2 big cities are not too much to build in only 2 and half year of progamming? If not, let the Rockstar tradition speak for herself and expect 3 cities again on GTA.

Remember in San Andreas, C.J. is the only character who changes his outfits. Damn that was annoying in a way, CJ dressed up like a boss in Woozie's four dragon cassino... and his sister dressed up like a hooker!? The others characters are all stagned on the matrix LOL they can change their visuals! Hiding amidst the time-lapse portion of the trailer though, are clues that this may be about to change. The trailer quick shows an otherwise identical model wearing mixed and different color outfits. If you go through the trailer frame by frame, it seems that there are a bunch of other peds wearing random outfits. For sure GTA IV main character may have friends like the man of bombing, Eight-ball. Imagine he changing his outfits to place a bomb somewhere in wherever mission and changing again to walk on the streets like a civilian. What can be more realistic than that?

try to do some googling to know more, but here is one link: www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=161126

And... there is a magazine called Game Informer!? in May 12 they gonna get some Official GTA IV revelations!? Dunno that

What you guys think about all that??

Yes, May's issue of Game Informer has GTAIV as it's cover story. And I stumbled across that "Visit Vice City - $300" image day-before-yesterday. It's hard to say whether that confirms it's visitable since the message appears on one of the many, many billboards in the city. It's a great easteregg though, and hopefully it does mean that there will be other cities that you can fly to.

For anyone wondering, here's a link to the picture with the "Visit Vice City - $300" sign http://gtareactor.planet-multiplayer.de/gtareactor/img/news/2007/03/30/vchint.jpg

Holy smokes, and if you look at the black billboard to the left of that, it appears to be identical as it has a black background and ends in what appears to be 300, as in "$300". The interesting thing about that particular billboard is that in the bottom-right hand corner it advertises a airliner called "FlyUS". GTAIV officially has an airliner, a destination, and a price. Does that mean Vice City is visitable? I say 'yes'.

It would have to be, in keeping with Rockstar's tradition. So if there's a second, there's likely a third. Although it's still possible that it's just a very, very large Liberty City.

yes. i believe in a super large libert city. because the next game never comes shorter than the previous right? San Andreas state is real big. oh and i hope for a REAL large LC. look true crime new york for example, manhattan is big...but full of bugs and glitches.. and nothing to do.

I would rather have them focus on one city. But if the development team is capable of making all 3 locations, I say go for it. I just think it would be quite a challenge.

It's possible it'll be like the original game with Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas. I doubt it though. I'd rather they focus on one city then have a ton of area that looked bad, but thats just me.

Have you seen Liberty City in this? It looks amazing. If they included Vice City and San Andreas, then they would look equally amazing. Do you truly believe that Liberty City would look current-gen, while the other two cities would just randomly look like they came straight from the PS2?

I would love to see all the cities...but in my opinion I think they will do one city but give you more builgings to explore. But again it's just a opinion not a fact. But it would be so cool to have Liberty City, Vice City , and San Andreas in next gen..How awesome would that be.

I reckon they should make whatever they can up to the best standard they can. Theres no point in adding 3 cities to a sub standard design etc. Id prefer one. VERY WELL DONE city rather than 3 mediocre ones.

i have to disagree on u VinnoT , sort of: what is the first basic thing you do when you build a game? concept , this titles conecpt should have "next gen cities and scale" right? if they will not give us this option , why would you think ill buy this game? im sick of rockstar saying "we didnt have the abiility to make it on the ps2" and bla bla bla , no more BS! , if they are not making atleast 2 major super big detailed countries\states , then save it......

VC was my favorite... I hope 360 gets a game in Vice City.

But I don't understand what needs to be deciphered here. The game is in Liberty City... yeah, there's a billboard that says visit Vice City... and in San Andreas, there was a radio ad that said visit Carcer City (of Manhunt fame)... but you couldn't go there. Get my drift? It'll be a large Liberty City. I'm just grateful they're making a new GTA game and I'm grateful it looks great. Stop with this madness.

No one said it was definite, we're just speculating.
