Can you please help settle a family dispute. As I am a mom and very square about these things, I am trying to settle if (as according to DS) multi-player is "less violent' than single player mode. Is that true?? I am beyond hesitant to allow him to play GTA as he is only 14 ... am I being overly protected?

So if you sent you're son to a boxing gym, would you construe that as being overly violent. No video games are what they are. You are not actually protecting him from anything. You just have to seperate fact from fiction. Video games are not that bad at all, just escapism for a bit of fun. Don't worry too much imho :)

The most obscure stuff in GTA is some of the concepts touched in the campaign, the Multiplayer....well depends of the community.
