I have never had a problem with my 360, not even a game freeze. I just did the update and BOOM 3 red lights. I got my 360 right after launch, the second shipment. Do they go by serial numbers to determine whether they will fix it for free or not?.... Looking for my receipt.AAAAAHHHHHH!

Unplug it for a day or two. If your looking for the serial number then take out your controller if you have a wired one, hold that flap down and you should see a little sticker with a bunch of numbers on it. Thats your serial number.

I got my X360 at 12:00AM 11/22/2005 and have not had one problem with it. I do not know what the heck you people do to your Xboxes but it is hard to believe that the update destroyed your console.

Well ya know, I thought I was one of the lucky ones 2. And "we people" take care of our stuff. I cant say that it was the update, but it happened right after. Good luck with yours since "you people" are more responsible. LOL

yeah they definitely dont fix your xbox for free.  mine just died on me yesterday and i called.  gave the serial number and he's like well it looks like you purchased on this date so its going to be $130.00.  i might just go out and buy another core, transfer my hd and what not over so i dont have to wait to get it back.  then send out the broken one, get it fixed and sell it for cheap once its repaired.  my one friend did have his mom get on the phone and raise holy hell.  they fixed it for free for him.  lol.  go mom!

Well I am going to call them and try to get it fixed for free but I dont excpect it will happen. 2-3 months after launch might be too late. I will work on my Holy Hell in the mean time.Â
