im coming to terms with no online for Guitar Hero 2. imo this would have made this game out of this world. im still getting it but i just cant believe there is no online. any one else just stunned basically there isnt an online mode? i mean, the game is awesome, if your into this sorta thing but online would have added alot i think. idk, just venting before i pick it up tomorrow. think they could add online capabilities for like head to head in the future?
cannot wait for it though agreed. i almost had my ex coworker at EB sell me it today. i was basically ungodly annoying trying to twist his arm to sell it, i think he almost gave in to shut me up but alas, i have to wait. yeah the downloadable song thing is cool.

I'm not really that surprised, it would be tough to have online head-to-head, especially with lag, you might hit a lag spike, and miss a couple of notes and those may cause you to lose the match.

... you do know Harmonix is developping Rock Band, the same developer who's making Guitar Hero II, yes?

Ummm, hello out there... if you didn't notice, Harmonix (makers of GH) will be the ones making Rock Band. EA is just helping with the publishing and some hook-ups with music.

Bleh to Rock band. Sure some people will buy it and enjoy it, but its not nearly as main stream and pick up and play as Guitar hero. I know I won't be buying it if I have to put up with one of my friends supplying the vocals.
I have heard various interviews with Red Octane about GH2 on the 360. Two big things that are asked is online multiplayer and downloadable content. The interviews I've heard, they don't comfirm a future download to add multiplayer, but they make it seem like they are working on it. I wouldn't be surprised if it is indeed coming sometime in the coming months.
so the possibility for online capabilities is there, which is promising for those who want the online. thanks for the update fellas. had no idea they were discussing future online modes.
