I just do what you do at first, and whenever I see an orange note coming, I move my pinky to the orange fret. It can take some time though, but I'm used to it since I play on Expert.

I suggest you should do like with a real guitar.. works for me.

Just play the way you feel is best, don't listen to others because learning a different playing style will just make you worse.

Keep on rockin'!!!

Most of the time I keep my four fingers from red to orange and slide my pointer finger down to hit the green. Sometimes you have to slide your whole hand down though to make things easier ... it takes practice to get used to but once you get the hang of sliding your hand around its much much easier to play the expert tunes.

If you hold the buttons from green to blue, you will find it quite hard to hit orange with your little finger. But if you hold the buttons from red to orange, you will see it's easier to hit the green with your index finger... this is if you are playing on hard or above, as they don't use orange on normal mode.

Most will tell you it's best to slide your fingers up and down to hit notes, but I can't do that yet. I'm pretty good at most games, but I suck at Guitar hero for some reason, stuck on the last boss fight on Normal mode.

Yeah I suck :(

Well what I do is put my fingers on all the notes except orange, and when an orange note comes I just move my hand down to hit it then move it back up. You really just gotta find your own way to do it.

Well there are only two postions for your hand to be in, your index finger on the green or on the red. And like a real guitar its all about the neck, to feel your way up and down it, the best advice for me to give you is to know where your middle finger is in relation to your thumb like real guitar players. Also your index is more likely to be more flexable and faster than your pinky, but that is why you must practice or else no matter what your playing style is it doesn't matter if you practice what you know, it matters when you practice what you don't know, that is how you progress.

Im kinda confused too, How many fingers does this guy have? And back on topic I put my fingers on green through blue, but when a orange come I move my whole hand it may not be the best way but it seems to work pretty well for me. What your gonna have to do is just try different stuff and see what works.

He puts his first four fingers on green, red, orange, and yellow and uses his pinky to hit blue, I guess.
