guitar hero3 or rock band?

gh3 = affordable, rockband = ridiculous... $170?? damn.. I can buy mass effect, CoD4, and Assassin's Creed with that much money...

besides, gh3 has a better track list and imo more replay value.

rockband you NEED friends to play with if you want to play it. For me, that would be a Thursday night, or a drunken Friday or Saturday night, and even then thats only a possibility..

i have gh3 and i am very pleased with it, should provide me with MANY hours of entertainment..

but what if you had friends over most of the time? and even if you dont have friends over then you play online.andif you could could afford it? i dont know if most people can, but i do know thatboth games have massive replay value.

i know alot of people look forward to playing the drums in rock band. thats one of the main reasons i'm getting rock band. and i'm not favoring

Personally from looking at the song lists of both, I have to say Guitar Hero 3 for me. I've already got it and am having a blast with it. But the concept of all the downloadable songs for Rock Band coming make it intruiging, I just don't wanna spend all that money for it.sebs09

You've gotta be kidding me. I think that Rockband is like 2x better then GH 3. I like the graphics, and that ending song from GH 3..."Through the fire and flames" but other then that, DRUMS OWN. Wouldnt you pay the extra $50, for a DRUMSET?!?! C"mon man, get with the next-gen games :P

I own GH3 and i love it. However, Rock band looks kinda cool and innovative. Since i dont have Wii and a lot of party games, ill probably get rock band.
