My last two Xbox's crapped out, but all my friends have an Xbox still and i cant help but wanna play Gears. Sadly all i can worry about is buying a third one that will eventually die before its time is up. The 360's past is a great one but the future looks bare and dry. Kinect looks lame and will have nothing to do with the hardcore gaming crowd. All i really see for the Xbox is them pushing the crap out of Kinect and now they really dont have any new games coming. They dropped Bungie, Esemble, Bizzare, and has put Rare to crap work. I'm not hear to hate on the Xbox, my past memories playing online were great ones, i love the community and i played Reach, its fantastic, but whats past this? Is their really anything to look forward to anymore?

I'm mostly interested in the new xbox i might add... but it seems like the games aren't their to feed me to long, exclusive wise anyways.... Please enlighten me, and show me the hope.

Do u have another console already? Seems pretty pointless to replace ur 360 now if u have a PS3 already. But if you don't have one there's the new gears that u said u want to play, so you might as well get one.

Doesn't look like it, I didn't replace mine either when it red ringed a year ago. Do you have a gaming PC? Mass Effect 3 is definitely coming along.

I have a 8800gtx that struggles to play fallout 3, i could use an upgrade but yeah it can handle a lot of games. its an early quad core, intel q6600 i think. 2.5ghz. Anyways, i guess the Xbox is finally done, when i cant find support in a Xbox forum i guess its time to give up. I guess ill stick to my PC and Ps3.

You said you have like 15 friends that have 360s? Just get the multiplayer games they have and even ask them for advice. Friends gives better advices than strangers, most of the time. Also if you're playing with friends, it doesn't matter if a game is exclusive or not, because you should be having fun. Also do any of them have the new 360? If not, maybe you should get one so you can show it off to them. :P

I suggest you do, and if you do get an XBox Slim, as I heard it has reduced chances of becoming trash.

From my own gaming, my Xbox has never broke or even malfunctioned once. I have it lifted up on two books and I never turn it on for a second and turn it off (which is supposedly the reason for RRoD). Don't worry about your Xbox breaking, if the majority of your friends have an Xbox then it'll be worth the fun.

I don't understand how some people can go threw so many Xboxs. I had a launch Xbox go red ring on me last summer and I sent it back for repair, for no charge.

Fable III, Halo: Reach, Gears of War 3, RAGE, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit...

Hardcore gaming isn't dead. Xbox 360 will live on.

i really wish people would stop with all this ""hardcore is dead" rubbish just because of kinect ... its not the end of hardcore gaming as we know I'm afraid youre being a bit dramatic, of course the console has a stable future as a hardcore platform there are tons of hardcore games already out and tons of hardcore ones on the way ... jeez kinect isnt the end of gaming people...

A ledge is no place to have a discussion about whether you should buy an Xbox or not.

Buy the Arcade its $149 now, and the Jaspers are mostly RRoD free. Treat it nice (space and cooled, don't let it get too hot) and you'll be fine

If you have a PS3 and a PC, I wouldn't do it. You can't get your 360 fixed for free? No warranty?
