Hacked!!!

Yea, my Gamertag got stolen this weekend and i was wondering a couple things......

1. They said they would call back in 3-5 days, how long does that really mean?

2. Is this common because this really sux? :(

3. If this has happened to anyone else, any advice?

I just checked how someone could do it and they would have to have your password for your email in order to recover your gamertag onto another console. That is the only way it could happen. Was there a point in time where you could have given your password out? Do your friends or "friends" know your information?

That really sucks. Do you use the same passport for XBL as you do MSN messenger? They may have got your details through your pc.TepicPlug

This is the best reason i can come up with.. i dont have msn messenger but my email does? i dunno... I know nobody got my password, nobody would think of it...and i didnt tell anybody.

I don't see how they can take your account without your password. I assume you log onto the official forums using that passport?

Maybe it is time to scan your PC for key loggers. have you accessed anything that needs logging in from a public computer?

Its cool dude, thanx 4 the help, but i already did all that. i just have no clue how it can happen and to be honest, microsoft said they had not seen anything like it. its just my luck i guess :)
