Half Life: Orange Box: Im new to Half Life, and stuff, what is it exactly?

All my friends tell me that I HAVE to experience Half life.

Whats included in the box, and whats half life actually about? Is it hard/easy? Horror/standard fps?

Hmmm...What's in the orange box? Half life 2, Half life 2 ep.1, Half liefe 2 Ep.2, Team fortress 2 (Online multiplayer shooter with many different classes, fun stuff) andPortal (Puzzle game, you solve puzzlesby using portals)

Half life is a story driven action FPS, it is about medium difficulty (leaning more twards easy) some levels can be spooky, but it's a standard FPS normally.

Oh, and Orange box is a must have, best friggin deal ever.

half-life is a game that is puzzle game. ur main weapon is the gravity gun it lifts things and shoots it. Gordon freman is the main chracter u play. a girl named alex is ur friend that helps u. iam2green

I was wondering the same thing, What the hell is up with this game? [I asked myself] So I go and pick up the xbox version and I play it and its kinda boring, dont get me wrong the gravity gun thing is cool and all but gordon freeman sucks as a character, maybe I shouldve played half-life 1 before I jumped into the second one but they dont exactly help in the storyline, seeing as though IT SUCKS. I know Im gonna get destroyed here in a few seconds by an angry halflife mob, but I wouldnt recommend this game, its just not my stlye, I thought I was gonna get the orange box thing, but now I really dont know, Im into more action in my FPS, if I wanted to solve a puzzle I would get a puzzle based game.......thanks for your time. i didnt play through the first, went right into the second and thought the story was pretty good. i liked it more for the gameplay and whatnot. i dunno. the story i guess is better with the first but then again, theres always wikipedia for synopses and the new eps. will have a new story arch to themselves so they should further the story significantly

Half Life and Half Life 2 are considered two of the best SINGLEPLAYER Shooting games of all time, on any system.

Half LIfe 2 is a game that everyone should experience.. plus u get two expansion packs for the singleplayer for MANY hours of great singleplayer action (the story in half life is always sweet to), plus the AMAZING Team Fortress 2 for your xbox live shooting needs. I cant wait for this package!

The story/pressentation and gameplay is what set Half Life singleplayer apart from others IMO.

In my opinion Half Life has had better singleplayer then the Halo games.

I'd have to agree, Halo isn't really known for the single player aspect, as much as the multiplayer, albeit Halo 3 singleplayer was really great.
