Halo 2 Had A Good Run ....

well that time is coming up april 15th is the end of the criticly acclaimed halo 2 what are your thoughts ?

i know im personally saddend even though i play halo 3 more i still like to go back to halo 2 every once in awhile .

No it did not. I still play Halo 2 on my Xbox more than I do Halo3 or ODST. Bubble shields, Power drains and the other tacked on equipment is not Halo...sorry.ice_radon

lol you beat me to it. Personally i dont know anybody still playing halo 2. If your really dying for a halo fix play halo 3, it plays just like halo 2 with a few minor tweaks. i think its time for people to move on and look foward i feel reach is gonna respark many peoples intrest in halo.

I actually went back on Halo 2 this morning and re-downloaded the maps. I didn't manage to get into an MM game (probably because it was 10am GMT) but i did find some people and added them so i can get a big party and actually get a decent game.

I moved on from Halo 2 once the third game came out. But it is one of my favorite multiplayer games of all time, if not the best ever. I guess some folks will say Unreal Tournament, Counter Strike or Quake III are better, but really, I sunk more time into Halo 2 than all three of those games combined. It's sad to see it go, but I can't complain too much when I'd much rather play Halo 3 these days.

So you've gotta imagine that Halo 3 still has quite a few years left in it (at least 3?) even though Reach will be out this fall.DJ_Magneto

Halo 2's best maps where Halo CE remakes except Midship. Halo CE is still the king. Prisoner, Hang Em High, Wizard, Chill Out, etc. PS: Halo 3 plays nothing like Halo 2. In Halo 2 you actually had to have your crosshairs on the enemy, in Halo 3 you can aim a foot away from them and the shots still register. Halo 3 is more like Wanted.Fr0wnyface

I never liked playing Halo 2 online, but I liked Halo 3 even less. I probably would have liked playing the games if they had custom games that you could search for and join.

Lol good one....If anything it's that your shots don't register when you DO hit them. And i think your referring to leading your shots from a distance not really a glitch just a part of the game.

halo 2 was pure fun and i think they should bring them back in halo 3 for one more dlc before reach that would be cool . but i know they wont lol

It did have a great run, but I do think that the games are only improving as time goes on. Hopefully Reach will be the definitive Halo experience like the dudes at Bungie say it's going to be.

Halo 2 was a very important game for me and xbox live in general. I miss playing it because it was so great and all my friends played it.

Halo 3 is fine. It has the best multiplayer system. Even though everyone misses halo 2's maps. I enjoy playing with friends through tournaments or competitions. The best thing for that is I can spend time playing game and winning cash prize with skills. A nice place I visit the most is bringit.com. Looking for people to join!bjcactus

as far as story goes, I think they all suck compared to the first Halo... but multiplayer wise, 2 beats the crap out of 3... I gotta agree that the bubble shields and all the tacked on little things got annoying pretty quick.

I still play Halo games in fact I play Halo 2 more than I play Halo 3. Is April 15th the last day for Halo 2 online multiplayer ?

All good things... I haven't been playing it lately, but it was so much fun. Still waiting for my points and such though. 5000 games played between two accounts and nothing.
