Hola, I'm going to be buying my first360 fairly soon aand was wondering how Halo 2 played on it. I have heard that installing 360 games on the hard drive reduces noise and is better for the system, but you can't install original Xbox games. I'm sure it won't make that much difference if I install it or not, just curious. :P And how does the originalHalo play off the marketplace? It actually would be an install instead of playing off the disc. Thanks fellas.

Halo plays great on the Xbox, and Halo 2 plays fine too, however some of the alpha textures will remain on the screen like you have some stuck pixels. It isn't a problem for the television and doesn't really affect the game but it is annoying.

Here is what I am talking about.

Just remember that you will not be able to recieve any updates for either Halo game and will not be able to play Halo 2 online anymore.

Halo 2 demands an SDtv. Playing H2 on a 360 thru HDMI on a HDtv it looks and plays bad. (input lag, bad well everything, ghosting,etc...) If you play it with composite cables on a SDtv it'll play fine though. Halo:CE was tweeked when released on games on demand so it plays fine on any tv. H:CE actually looks better on my HDtv then H2... And yes I've played both recently.
